We had several meals at Arkadenhof during our week-long stay in Leoben. The food and the service were good each time we went there --- for lunches and dinners. It was quite convenient to where we were staying and we liked the atmosphere inside...very charming, old world style. Regarding a previous poster who mentioned the smell from smoking...I believe that... More

My Austrian boyfriend and I wanted to go out to dinner and this place was crowded so we figured it would be good. They DO have an English menu and specials list which is very nice. We shared beef carpaccio appetizer and that was fantastic. Then we got a salad, I got venison 2 ways, and he got the hunters... More

+ A charming place with an ancient atmosphere - Mostly for smokers, which spoils it :( - No English menu - Unfortunately, the only English-speaking waiter serving me wasn't especially friendly. At the end I was greatly surprised when I asked her to wrap up the leftovers of my dish - she brought a plactic container to my table and... More

Right on the main square, with tables outside. We chose to eat indoors, in the marvellous traditional setting. Food was good Austrian fare, with Styrian touches; we couldn't believe how efficient the service was, and we noticed a big party getting served fast too. Definitely recommended.

Title says it all. The food was very good. I had a veal wiener schnitzel and my friend had the Eierschwammerl-Goulash. It was the best schnitzel I've had in a while. It was on the daily special menu, i wish it'd be a regular menu item, since I am not a big fan of pork schnitzel. The goulash was great... More

This restaurant has a good atmosphere. Food is delicious, try the buffet. The staff are also friendly. Very good place for business meetings along with a meal and also a good place for friends to hang out.

We had lunch. Eierschwammerl Pasta and Spinach Nockerl. The food was excellent. They also have a wide variety of beer. In the middle of the town square.

Love this place - I've been a few times on business and with friends. The atmosphere is good and the set-up of the tables and bar are friendly - quite close together - but not too much so. The food and drink were great and the service was friendly and efficient.

We stopped in Leoben for lunch on the 5 May holiday to find most everything closed, so this was pretty much it for lunch options. I had solo spargel, husband had grill teller, kids had schnitzel, all the food was fine, but I just didn't enjoy the experience as much as I would've liked to. Inside the restaurant was dim... More

"We are telling beer storys, because we are beer history" that's the slogan of Arkadenhof, the oldest brewery restaurant of Leoben. A fact, that the well known beer pope Conrad Seidl noticed too, and elected the "A-Hof", that's how the locals call the cult restaurant, to the austrian "beer & cheese restaurant 2009". The gastronomic range of our historical tavern is rich and varied. The culinaric specialities that the chef and his crew prepare, orient themselves on local and fresh produce in season and exceptional "beery" plates. We would like to put a special highlight on the finel assorted selection of local organic cheese varieties. Or stay for a legendary "Gösser beer menu" consisting of a pint Gösser Gold - to compense the slight delay - and a slowly drawn Gösser Spezial with a huge four to five centimeter whitecap.
