We are regular visitors to this taverns and have been for around 20 years. Lovely home made traditional Cypriot food. Perfect surroundings and a lovely slowly, slowly meal.

WOW, what an absolute dining experience. We came to Paphos to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and were looking for a restaurant that was both authentic and served traditional local food (we last came 28 years ago). And we found it. We booked from the UK before our arrival on Trip Advisor recommendations. Very rustic, no menu, whatever is available... More

Having been in Cyprus for a few months, I've had a few mezzes already but I have no hesitation in saying this was the best one I have had so far! The restaurant is a short distance away from the tourist area and it is a refreshing place to be! The service is exceptionally good and you can spend the... More

George is probably the most welcoming proprietor I have ever met in a restaurant and his son Ben has clearly learnt from the best. The food was authentic, plentiful and each dish was beautiful. I am a vegetarian and my partner is not - this was truly no problem and we were both offered dish after dish until we were... More

I cannot say that we came across this by accident. I am a frequent user of TripAdvisor and always consult it when in a new area. However this time this was the second choice. Normally we have our favourite place where we eat when in Cyprus, but this evening it was closed. Therefore I had to consult my favourite app... More

Nothing to say. Just go and try! Best food, delicious wine and desserts from other galaxy. Tavern number 1 on Cyprus since 2012 when I was there first time.

The eccentric owner, George, invites people into a homely atmosphere, where choices are limited to red or white, and Meze, where both keep coming until full. Cypriot music and George dancing add to the entertainment,

We went to the hassle of getting 2 buses and walking to this place because of its reviews and I couldn't be more glad we did! Upon arriving we were told the place was fully booked (I recommend booking in advance!) but they said they would try squeeze us in anyway as we were too beautiful to turn away! (Thank... More

For exquisite food, wonderful service and the feel of authentic Cyprus this is the restaurant to visit. There is no menu as the food is all home grown and the dishes reflect what is in season. Every dish was delicious and the meze just kept coming. A hearty appetite is definitely required!! The visit was made very special for us... More

Description
It should be noticed that the establishment is a very traditional one, in more ways than appearance. It is an old building of stone and wood. The two dining rooms are decorated with antiques and items from the old household of rural Cyprus. The garden is very pleasant with flowers and herbs growing all around it.

The food is traditional and seasonal. We cook everything that can grow in Cyprus, basing a lot of our food on traditional dishes, and wild vegetables, picked by ourselves. We serve Meze, which traditionally means delicate taste, and in Cyprus it is used to mean a variety of delicacies. A typical meze at the 7 St Georges will start with salad and between 6-10 appetizers, this will differ every night but may include, homegrown olives, cured meats, dips and pickles. The meze will continue with a variety of traditional and some times contemporary meat and vegetable dishes. We use only the best meats to provide mouthwatering roasts and succulent casseroles, you can expect to enjoy our now well known Kleftico (lamb or beef on the bone cooked in sealed ovens, succulent) and a vegetarians delight of vegetable dishes, depending on the season they will include, rice stuffed marrow flowers, bumyas (ochra) cooked in a tomato and mint sauce, black eyed beans with home grown marrow, tomato fritters, cheese and vegetable pies. The meze will be about 20 dishes, depending how much one can eat, expect to be surprised and delighted at the array of dishes that will be brought to you over the meal (expect to be eating for about 2 hours), at the 7 St Georges we serve quality food in an informal and comfortable setting, take your time and enjoy the experience.
