The Amalfi Coast in Luxembourg

I am Italian and I have never eaten that well in Luxembourg. Ristorante Luci is a boutique style restaurant managed with kindness and grace that provides you with a unique feeling of the South of Italy. I discovered the restaurant during the pandemic and ordered a million take away pizzas which were always fantastic, but today I had the chance for the first time to actually try the restaurant cuisine. My husband and I took two pasta based on fish and I guarantee I had not eaten that well since we travelled to Sicily. A must go and by far the best Italian restaurant in Luxembourg

Polite, quick and efficient service, each dish a work of art, which the chef comes to explain as it is served, all during an evening with poetry, songs and excerpts of movies by Pasolini. An exquisite taste of Italy in the heart of Bonnevoie... altrocché "folle amore"... Mille grazie!

Amazing place!

Luca of Luci restaurant is a charmant italian chef who loves good food and delivers the best of Italian-inspired cuisine. An excellent menu of pizza, fish dishes, pasta and delicious sweets is complemented by a reasonably priced wine list. Topping it all, the welcoming staff and Luca’s enthusiasm makes it for an excellent place to spend an evening with friends.

Terrible service and food

Luci impressed me with it's absolute consistency. The service, food, and prices all somehow managed to disappoint me equally. As a table of 9 you would think the restaurant would consider us, just like any client, worth their time. But speaking of time, we waited an hour and a half for starters. My friend had to order a gin and tonic q total of four times before he was served. The waiters ignored us and generally looked like they'd rather be doing anything else. I ordered the salmon. It was overcooked, barely seasoned and without texture. I guess that's what Luci means by a delicate meal. It was paired with potatoes which were good. But most importantly, I was served a vegetable brick, the ingredients of which I still fail to recognise. The texture resembled spinach that had been chewed by 8 different people before being served. It was sour, and made myself and my friends gag. Would definitely not recommend. Better service and food can be found at your local McDonald's.

Dear Customer, Thank you very much for your comment, I am sorry you did not have a pleasant evening. I apologise to you and your friends for the biblical service times, but to be fair you should also have pointed out that you arrived about 40 minutes later than booked (this unreported delay led to long waiting times because your order of 9 people overlapped with the tables that arrived at the scheduled time). Regarding the comments about the food, I don't understand why he didn't raise them at the table when I came in for a fleeting greeting (as I am wont to do with everyone) and to solicit your comment. At my explicit request: "Are you guys OK? You replied with a bare and cold yes, everything's fine. I certainly could not imagine that illustrious and expert gourmets like you could confuse a leek cream with a banal mashed potato, or that you would not appreciate the discovery of the characteristic bitterish taste of turnip tops (an ancient vegetable typical of southern Italy) confusing it with spinach. I'm amazed that even though I claimed the salmon was overcooked, I devoured it and didn't send it back immediately, if I had I would have apologised and immediately made the dish again. The next time it happens rather than write a review "questionable" behind a nickname make your observations in person if asked. Unprecedented experience and probably the worst.

The service was tragic, i waited one hour 30 to get a gin tonic. I have never seen waiters non-willing to serve you, I am still wondering what language the waiter actually spoke. The food was alright, my pizza was average. However, my friend who ordered fish was served broccoli that even a school canteen would be ashamed of serving. Overall, i do not recommend this restaurant in Luxembourg. There are plenty of Italian restaurants which serve better service and better prices than Luci in Bonnevoie.

Mixed feelings

Restaurant Lucy in Luxembourg offers a chic dining ambiance and generally pleasing culinary options, yet my recent visit left me with mixed feelings, earning it a 3.5/5 rating. The stylish decor and inviting atmosphere set a promising stage, but the overall experience highlighted a few areas needing attention. The prices at Restaurant Lucy are notably above average, particularly for pasta dishes, which were surprisingly high. This could be somewhat justified by the quality or the setting, but it still stood out as a point of contention, especially when considering the value offered in comparison to other local options. The menu variety was another aspect that could use improvement. The dessert options were particularly limited, with only three choices available during my visit. One of these was a rather simple ice cream offered for 4 euros. On a positive note, the service at Restaurant Lucy was commendable. The staff were attentive and professional, ensuring a smooth dining experience without any significant issues. Their efficiency and friendliness were consistent positives throughout the evening. I ordered the Calzone, which was well-prepared and enjoyable. It was cooked nicely with a good balance of ingredients, making it a satisfying component of the meal. The quality of the Calzone did help to offset some of my concerns about the menu's value. In conclusion, while Restaurant Lucy impresses with its good looks and has the potential to offer a fantastic dining experience, the high prices and limited menu variety, especially in desserts, are areas that could be improved. The restaurant offers a fine service and some tasty options, but a few adjustments could enhance its appeal and provide better value to its patrons.

Best Italian in Luxembourg

By far our favourite restaurant in Luxembourg. The service and food is impeccable every time and the waiters always go above and beyond. I almost always go for the tomato basil dish, very simple but outstanding.

True Italian atmosphere

One of the rare places in Luxembourg where you can find a true Italian atmosphere with a true Italian kitchen. Napoletan pizza and 'tagliere di formaggi e salumi'. Good selection of wine and good pizza.

Once is enough

Italian restaurant...not really at its best. Passion is not enough to run a restaurant, and this is the perfect demonstration that the passion will not satisfy your customers. Very long waiting time far beyond acceptable limits, while some dish is good but others are absolutely not. Mixed experience around the table, resulting in one trial only.

Wonderful restaurant in Bonnevoie. Lovely, welcoming team offering food that warms the heart. We will be back & can’t wait to try the cannolo bresaola - it was one of the best starters I’ve eaten in a long time 💛

A delight

Amazing pizza and wine, and the Tiramisu is pure bliss. The service was very nice (I arrived late and the kitchen was due to close, but I was served without any issues) and was offered a treat as a first-time customer. For that pizza, I am certainly coming back, thank you!

Disappointing service and food

It took one hour to get drinks, let alone a starter. Service was poor as staff ignored us constantly. Food was alright, but was definitely not worth the extraordinarily lengthy wait and price.

Dear Alessia, I'm sorry for the long waiting time, unfortunately our organisation has failed due to your 40-minute delay with respect to the booking. The price you paid is what we believe to be fair for what you ate (idea of the dish, quality of the raw material, etc.) but above all it is the one reported on all the menus you consulted, if you did not consider it correct you could very well not order or order a margherita pizza (10.50 €). A hidden gem in Bonnevoie exceptional for the taste and outstanding service! Recommended all the way ! The owners are the ones welcoming you on the premises and they make sure you are well taken care of. Level of attention to the quality of your experience is truly exceptional. You want a glass of wine ? They will accompany you with a tasting session to find what really is your fit. Pasta is exceptional and full of flavours. Recommend because of outstanding taste and service.

Worst meal in Lux

I have never had such a bad meal before in Luxembourg. The octopus wasn’t fresh at all it smelled terrible, it was super expensive. I will never go back and I strongly recommend not to go there.

Dear Customer, Thank you very much for taking the time to write your evaluation, (moreover, as you promised, you spent a lot of time on it considering the evaluations on google, trip and YOUDEAL 😉)it is always a pleasure to listen to our customers' evaluations. As I have already written to you on google, I cannot understand why the countless times I have come to your table to make sure everything was going well you have not raised any remark about the food (I also note, that first the octopus was only dipped in a blue green juice ( google and youdeal.lu evaluation)then it becomes inedible because it is not fresh, you have also forgotten to report "THE BITTERS". On second thoughts, it seems that the animosity towards my business is mainly due to the fact that I allowed myself to charge her for digestifs....SACRILEGIO😄😄😄😄. As already written I renew my invitation to you to come back and give us another chance with the promise that digestifs will be offered
