We booked Tora mostly based on reviews to celebrate a special occasion. Communication was excellent throughout the whole booking process. After receiving booking confirmation we found out that there are time limits depending on how many people are dining, this is new to me, but management were kind enough to waive this, I did not want to constantly keep track of time on a night out. The location is nice with sea views but keep in mind that there is a lido, pool and bar directly under the restaurant which will be directly under you. A DJ was setup near the pool which provides both the lido and restaurant with background house lounge music. The staff are extremely nice and were attentive but not intrusive. All the food and cocktails ordered were great but I can't help not to mention that some items are overpriced, €23 for sweet & sour pork balls? I know Tora is trying to be something different but I have been to other Asian Fusion restaurants and this just stuck out for me, but again you will be dining in one of Malta's nightlife hotspots, it's a place to see and be seen.

This is probably one of the best Chinese meals I have ever had. The service was excellent, thank you Rupesh. The manager came and talked to us which was a nice touch.
The food was amazing, from the Prawn toasts, veg spring rolls to the prawns with cashew nuts, the crispy lemon chicken and the egg fried rice - all were so tasty and arrived very hot. The prawns were kept warm over a hot plate. The food had been freshly cooked and did not have that starchy texture that you often get with a Chinese.
Plus the view was lovely overlooking Valletta and the added bonus of some chilled music from the DJ in the Manta club which is part of the whole set up.
So if you ever stay in Sliema or at the Barcelo Fortina hotel it is worth the little extra that you pay at this first class restaurant. Another really nice touch was that they provide a table hook so that your wife can hang their handbag rather than placing it on the floor.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tora in Sliema, Malta, and we were absolutely blown away by the entire experience. From the moment we stepped foot into the brand new facility overlooking the harbour, we knew we were in for something special.
The ambiance at Tora was simply enchanting. The live DJ, accompanied by energetic dancers and a talented bongo drum player, created an electrifying atmosphere that added a unique touch to our evening. The rhythmic beats and captivating performances infused our dining experience with an extra layer of excitement and enjoyment.
Now, let’s talk about the food. Every dish we tried at Tora was a masterpiece in itself. The Royal wasabi prawns were an absolute delight, with a perfect balance of flavors that left us craving for more. The sweet and sour chicken, an interesting twist on the classic pork dish, was a pleasant surprise, and it was prepared flawlessly. The fire uramaki roll brought together a fusion of flavors that tantalized our taste buds, leaving us wanting another bite. And the har gao dim sum was simply heavenly; each dumpling was steamed to perfection, bursting with delectable fillings.
What made our dining experience even more memorable was the kind gesture of the complimentary dessert we received. As we mentioned to our waiter, John, that we were celebrating our honeymoon, Tora went above and beyond to make our evening truly special. The dessert was a delightful combination of flavors and textures, showcasing the chef’s creativity and dedication to exceptional service.
Speaking of service, John, our waiter, deserves a special mention. He provided attentive and personalized service throughout our meal, ensuring that we felt welcome and cared for. His knowledge of the menu, coupled with his friendly demeanor, added to the overall positive experience at Tora.
In conclusion, Tora exceeded our expectations in every aspect. From the stunning location to the vibrant atmosphere, the outstanding food, and the exceptional service, it was an evening that we will cherish for a lifetime. We booked a table at a set time, we got to the restaurant to have our dinner, and our table was not available/reserved.
We ended up on a waiting list where we waited for an hour more or less, and the table which was supposed to be for our booking was given to another couple who arrived way later than us.
After a long wait, we finally got a table. I won't say that the service is terrible because the staff it's really kind and friendly but they are not well organized, it was quite messy
The food... The food was not what we expected for such prices. We ordered sweet & Sour Pork for €23 and the quality was of a low standard chinese restaurant, no worth it for that price. Lobster Noodles was the same for €28 🥲. The place is nice and the views are awesome but the music is too loud and not in line for the place. It's worth it for drinks but for dinner, not at all.

My wife and I celebrated Chinese New Year at Tora on Fridau, anticipating a delightful experience. Unfortunately, our dining experience fell short of expectations. Although we were attended to by a wonderful waiter, the culinary offerings were underwhelming.
Our meal commenced with a hot and sour soup that was so unsatisfactory we had to return it. Following this, we tried the Dim Sum, which was passable, but our hopes were dashed when we were served a carpaccio that seemed to have come straight from the freezer, and lobster noodles that reminded us more of my grandmother's Knorr soup than a festive feast.
We chose Tora for our Chinese New Year celebration hoping for a memorable treat, but we were compelled to leave early, disheartened by the experience.
The worst part of all, (and why I’m giving 1/5) is that I reached out to Tora afterwards sharing my feedback and giving them an opportunity to redress the issue and they didn’t even care to respond!

Have been twice for dinner recently and both experiences were quite pleasant in terms of the customer service (nice waiters were Dankaj and Sallab), dishes and views. I liked how someone from the team asked how our meal was going and that they phoned to inform me about the parking option at Tigne Point shopping mall. Sushi was delicious and also enjoyed the spicy cucumber salad, seabass, dumplings and Singaporean noodles. Excellent wine and cocktail options. Be mindful of whether your table is below a speaker as the music and acoustics can sometimes hinder hearing a conversation. Given that was my concern, the restaurant was extremely accommodating in finding a table for us that was farther from the speaker. Great option for Malta residents and visitors.

Amazing food and great service from the team especially Pankaj.
A variety of wines in varying prices, we opted for a cheaper bottle which was very nice!
They even sang happy birthday for my partner and gave us some ice cream with a sparkler in it as i put in the notes it was her birthday.

It was an exceptional dinner experience from start to finish. The location, nestled close to the sea offered stunning views that complemented the already delightful ambiance. The staff were not only attentive but also genuinely friendly, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our meal. However, the true highlight was the food. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavor, expertly crafted with fresh ingredients and unique combinations that tantalized the taste buds. From appetizers to desserts, every bite was a culinary delight. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience that combines outstanding food, location, and service.

Came to Tora with a friend for dinner on a Saturday evening. The service was incredible, the atmosphere in the restaurant was really nice and the music was perfect chill vibes, loud enough to feel like you’re at a fun waterfront destination but not too loud so I could hear the conversation with everyone at the table. A special shout-out to Yash our waiter. His service was absolutely perfect. I have a food intolerance and he went out of his way to go back and forth to the kitchen a few times to see what could be offered to me. He had a fantastic attitude and we’re considering coming back again before our holiday ends so hopefully we’ll have Yash again as our waiter!

A dining expetience is about more than just the quality of the food. The food at TORA was divine, really excellent Chinese/Asian cuisine. However, my low score reflects upon all the important "other" things that go to make up a dining experience. The views from the restaurant are super too. Here comes the big BUT...
...firstly the music, club-style with a very heavy bass line was way way way too loud. We could hardly here ourselves speak, it really spoilt our meal and was incessant. Secondly the staff, some of the waiting staff were vety friendly but the more senior person who took our order witout being bothered to note any of it down got it wrong. Our bill was never corrected, until we pointed it out. I got the impression that the front of house and more senior staff were completely indifferent about our dining experience, they appeared to me to be deliveting a purely commercial transaction with not real care about customer service. So, the excellent food was, to my party's mind, badly let down by all the other aspects. We will not be returning which is such a shame because we loved the food.

A magical accidental find after roads closed around our original chosen restaurant made it impossible to attend and fell into Tora after a taxi detour.
Great atmosphere with beautiful views of Valletta with a supporting soundtrack of rhythmic hypnotic music.
The food didn't disappoint, exciting all the senses with stunning tastes and aromas and beautiful imaginative presentations.
Finally the service we received from the friendly staff was exceptional and made us feel like VIP guests for our dining experience.

We came malta to spend some holidays and we visited Tora Restaurant for lunch.
We were surprised when we came to know that you are serving halal meat.
Huge thanks to Mateen who informed us about halal dishes in menu,literally enjoyed every bite of the food.

I just left frustrated from this restaurant due to poor quality. I ordered the a la carte because the tasting menu was minimum of 2 persons. I ordered the scallop with snap peas and was served almost cold food with 3 pieces of scallops. The same goes with the pork shumai, it was cold and hard, the fried rice was mediocre.
This place is overrated and over priced.

Our family had a New Year's Eve dinner here last Dec 31. Guests could only order their special festive menu for New Year's Eve. It turned out to be a horrible experience.
One of the chicken dumplings served to us had uncooked chicken in it. Two of us who chose the Black cod fillet for main course had bones in the fillet. One of the servings was missing a crisp nori which was supposed to be part of the dish.
We asked the waiter to pack our unfinished Peking duck for take away. They left out the wrappers and when I pointed this out, the waiter haughtily said there is no point in taking the wrapper home as it would harden.
We found the music too loud and asked if they could turn it down. They said at most they could turn it down just a little. But when we were leaving, they could turn it down to a nice quiet level. They could turn it down after all!

We came to your restaurant with my friend, was thoroughly impressed by both the exquisite cuisine and the impeccable service. The gentleman who was serving food and wine his name was john, he was very jolly character and made the dining experience more enjoyable. I just wanted to say thank you!
The quality of the service and food was excellent. The menu showcased a variety of innovative dishes, blending bold flavors and beautiful presentation. The attentive and knowledgeable staff ensured that our meal was a memorable one, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring our satisfaction.
