Excellent restaurant and concept

This restaurant is based on a sharing concept. All plates are made to be shared and you have to take about two dishes per person. We were two and took four dishes - all of them excellent! The octopus was incredible and one of the best I've ever eaten. The beef is also good, with a curry-coconut sauce. The staff is very friendly, the music makes a good atmosphere while not being too loud. I don't have enough words to recommend this restaurant.

Jaw dropping experience

The place is stylish and has a vreat vibe with the music they play, staff is extremely friendly and well trained. I had a business dinner with a partner from abroad whom i wanted to impress. I can safely say that this was achieved with the sharing concept that the restaurant has and the variety in tastes that is on the menu. Also have to note that the wine list is astonishing, had a bottle of Chinon followed by an amazing French Syrah. Always would come back to this place, in fact im heading there this Sunday for brunch! Thank you Hammets!

My first visit here. The concept is one of sharing dishes so order 2 things each which should be plenty. There is a great choice of dishes to suit everyone. Nice choice of cocktails too. If you are still hungry afterwards you can always order more but this is probably unnecessary. Unfortunately bookings are only taken for parties of 6 or more so you just have to turn up which is what we did. We would have preferred to sit outside but inside was pleasant and air conditioned.

Taste not like before

Me and my partner had dinner, we order tofu gyoza one of our favourite dish,it takes to come on table for 45 minutes and doesn't taste like before. we order again cream brulee And it's sour,it's worst but drinks was amazing. Good for cocktails

I walked in at Hammett’Gastro and Bar hoping to have a sea food experience. The ambience was amazing. I was served my a kind waitress, Marion , who talked me through through the menu and recommended the mussels as well as steamed rice. My expectations were exceeded. I had an amazing meal and I would definitely visit the restaurant to try out other items on the menu

Dip in quality not in price

Recently I have visited the place twice in a row. We used to visit before so we could compare. Unfortunately we were not happy. One most of the items we asked for were not available on the menu. Then we tried to do some changes but it was not possible. We eventually ordered pork belly as one of the things, it was totally over cooked, squid also tasted too much oily and buttery. Prices for drinks especially have been significantly increased as well. Also it was difficult to communicate with staff at times. Also we would appreciate that they're are less fried things available on the menu.

Food was lovely...is it worth the wait?

We stopped in here for some drinks and food. The waiter explained how the dishes are usually ordered to share so we ordered the rice, chicken & beef dishes but 2 of the 3 came out & the chicken came out about 15 minutes later, we asked & were told that's the way it is, some dishes are sent out as they are ready. Shame as we did like the food but weren't aware that all dishes didn't come together

Amazing Asian Fusion Food - 3-6-2022

Easily the best meal we had during our visit to Malta. Hammett's is an Asian fusion dining experience and the food was amazing! The service was excellent from the moment we walked in the door. The staff were very informative, explaining that the dishes are more for sharing so not to order too much food. Wes, the restaurant manager was particularly welcoming and offered some advice on other good places to eat whilst in Malta. The music was good, quite like a late-night bar vibe to it which was good and somewhat different to your restaurants that have that awkward background dinner music playing. We had the Seasame Chicken & Korean BBQ Beef with some Rice & Edamame. They serve some really nice cocktails too, well worth a visit for food, drinks or both.

Asian Fusion with a View of the Harbour

Amazing selection of Asian street-food staples. We enjoyed the food so much that we came back a second time. It's hard to pick a favourite dish, because all of them were delicious. The dishes are designed to share, so when you go with friends you'll have the chance to try a variety. Our compliments also go to our waiter, Mahato, who was extremely friendly, gave many helpful suggestions, and made our visit very enjoyable (and he was definitely the reason that we went back a second time).

Perfect dinner and attentive staff

We had dinner here and were delighted. The food has an Asian touch and you order a few dishes to share. We really liked the concept because you can try different dishes. Everything we ate was exceptionally tasty and the price was right too. If you prefer quality over a overstuffed 08/15 plate, you should definitely eat here. We were served by Ashim, Moto and Hema and they were very attentive and friendly. The only thing that could be improved in our opinion is the volume of the music - for us it was a bit too loud. Nevertheless, it was the best food we have tasted in Malta.

Exquisite experience

First time here, came for a dinner. The food was really good (nearly half of the options are vegan/vegetarian) and the prices were affordable considering the quality. The place was also really nice and modern and the overall vibe was cool. Thanks to our waitress Rochelle the experience was even more enjoyable, her being kind and attentive to every request

We had a lovely evening at Hammet’s with friends and my partner. The food was easily the best we had during our stay and the service was great as well. Wes, the restaurant manager was particularly nice, he listened to every request we had, e.g. we were able to switch to a table outside when one became available. I would definitely recommend Hammet’s to anyone that loves Asian fusion cuisine, exquisite cocktails and wines as well as friendly and professional staff.

I came to this restaurant based on a locals recommendation and I am glad I did. Wes was doing rounds making sure everyone was happy with their meals. I ordered the Hot Stone Rice with a Botanical G&T and it hit the spot. The blend of flavours will be engraved in my memory and the great service I received was an added bonus. Definitely return during my time in Malta.

Disappointed

Disappointed. Went twice in one day. Very simple lunch order (2 items) but whilst they managed to give us hummus dip and bread (which despite us thinking it was free was 8 Euros), they completely missed one order. Everyone makes mistakes, so we came again at night, as it was our first night, we were tired, so didn't want to stray too far. We had 3 items off the menu, 2 were warm and average, the 3rd was good. Staff themselves were good, and happy to explain things, but this was not a cheap place to eat, so we expected better quality. Not sure how it rates as number 2 as we visited far superior restaurants during our stay

Really don’t bother

Over-rated and overpriced. What a terrible mistake we made coming here. Lured by good reviews, we decided to treat ourselves and eat here. Great waitress recommended how to choose the dishes. Dutifully we did. Then the food arrived . The KFC was no longer a fibrous vegetable but white cauliflower mush encrusted with a thick, tasteless crust , with a vague attempt at a sauce clinging grimly to its exterior. When the six cubes of chicken swimming in a bright orange sauce came followed by some flat so called sparkling wine to accompany the pornstar martini we’d ordered we agreed after digging around the bones in our suckling pork ( no crisp crack king) just soft squidgy flab, that dinner was absolutely a disaster as poor food was only beaten by the price. Don’t. Bother.
