This place didn't pop up on any list I found online of places to eat but it was very close to our hotel and I'm so happy we stopped in. The prices were great and the service was even better. Plus, they serve whale which we were hoping to try. The food was all delicious and the dessert was scrumptious.... More

We visited for lunch. Friendly service. His food was really good (the burger with the egg) and served with curly fries (highly recommend the fries). I had the mushroom risotto, which was okay but not fantastic - the risotto was just a tad crunchy and not as creamy and smooth as I would have hoped for. However, for Iceland the... More

The restaurant was nice and clean and our lunch ( Chicken Salad) was good but some parts of the lettuces in the salad were not as fresh as they could have been. A very small portion of the lettuces were a little brown but saying that the rest of the dish and the Chicken was very tasty and good. So... More

It's in the heart of Reykjavik with friendly staff and good food. We ordered 2 burgers 1 fish and chips 1 fish of the day and a salad.. everything was amazing. We paid 160€.. too much for our standards but normal for Iceland. Big thanks..

Found Solon while visiting downtown Reykjavik. Had dinner the 1st night and it was so good I went back for lunch the next day. The lamb soup, a local treasure, which is entree size is also available as 2 appetizers. The fish & chips was very good as was the pulled pork and club sandwiches and also a delicious grilled... A lively restaurant with a good and varied menu. Staff were helpful and service was efficient. The portions were generous and food very tasty. As in all eating places in Reykjavik the prices are on the steep side - but this is true of many cities.

We were headed back to our hotel after a full day and wanted a bite to eat. It was happy hour so the beers were a good price (for Iceland) and the food we had was delicious. My daughter had the burger and curly fries and I had the Greek Salad with added chicken - excellent. My only regret was... More

We walked in to a lovely warm reception from our waitress. I ordered the lamb and I was not disappointed. It arrived extremely quickly and was cooked to perfection. The best tasting lamb I have ever had anywhere. It is quite dear but worth it for the lovely atmosphere, brilliant food and the beautiful coffee to finish off our meal... More

Last evening in Reykjavik - we were hungry and from the outside the menu & restaurant looked good. We were seated quickly & drinks & food ordered. Food came & the fries were cold & the burgers were luke warm at best but we ate them as we were hungry & had to eat early as early flight. Not once... More

Ate here on our last night in Reykjavik. The bistro had a lovely friendly atmosphere. The chicken wings were excellent. The burger was one of the best we have ever had. Enjoyed the meal very much. Would highly recommend this bistro. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive.
