Although it doesn't look much from the outside , Mokka is a real nice and cosy cafe. They serve great tasting coffee and a fine selection of sweet and savoury treats. The interior decor is v-stylish, consisting of slightly dated bench 'booths' and a faded...More

A group of us stopped in here whilst we had a few hours to explore before our flight, staff were really friendly and helpful, coffee was good and the cake hit the spot perfectly. Worth a stop in for a cuppa whilst you are shopping!

We went to mokka for a morning coffee to start the day off, and it truly measured up to the hype! Definitely recommend

Hot chocolate was REALLY good and sitting outside was so nice on a warm summer night. The chairs they have outside are on a nice shopping street with views of Hallgrimskirkja church.

I spent an afternoon in Reykjavik, and I found this amazing place. The place is small but very picturesque and quaint, it's known to be visited by loads of artists. We ordered some fresh waffles, which were probably the best waffles I've ever had in...More

The inside of Mokka smells of fresh waffles and cappuccino, making it an inviting atmosphere from the start. As a solo traveler, this was a great spot to start off and plan out my day. The menu is fairly priced and coffee is delicious. Get...More

Coffee quality and employee skills never disappoints. This is the only coffee house I would drop by when in Reykjavík.

Mock Kaffi is one of the oldest cafes in Reykjavik. It appears to be decorated just as it was when it first opened. The coffees that we enjoyed were good but not the best that we experienced while in Iceland. The pastries were good. Mock...More

Came here for breakfast 3 times during our week stay in Reykjavik and got the waffles with fresh whipped cream and jam each time because it was just that good. The jam was perfectly sweet, I wish i knew what kind it was because I...More

I was in Reykjavik yesterday and stopped in a small Cafe for a mocha cafe and saw lamb soup on the menu. I'm not sure if it was your place - it was just a black or 2 down hill towards the water from the cathedral. It was the most delicious soup I've ever had and I'm hoping to find the place where I got it to tell them how delicious it was. I also wondered if it is possible to get the recipe? I am home now in So. California - can you please help me find this place? Thank you, Maureen Kaye.

Also, the cafe mocha was one of the best I've had too! Hoping to find this place. I still have the receipt but some of it is not understandable for me.

Description
An Icelandic tradition since 1958. Mokka is one of Reykjavik's oldest cafés and the first to install an espresso machine and serve espresso, cappuccino, and café latte in Iceland. There's a tempting selection of sandwitches, cakes, and the coffee and hot chocolate are excllent with their famous house waffles, served with cream and jam. The déckor - red carpet, leatherette booths and stools - hasn't changed much althought the art on the walls is changed every 4-6 weeks as the café has doubled as an Art gallery with new art for sale since opening.
