Best restaurant in Reykjavik. Most reasonable prices we found in Reykjavik. Kind service and food quality is pretty good. Parking lots are available in a side street. Even Icelandic people recommend that place.

This was our first dinner in Iceland and it was great. The menu is tapas style with ala carte selections or a 4 course tasting menu. One of us had the tasting menu - which was plenty of food for one, the rest of us had a "classic" appetizer and a "grand" appetizer. The sizes are similar to a first... More

Worth the walk from the center of town. Hidden gem with a local neighborhood flavor. We had a booking for 7 people and the table was waiting for us. My husband got the smoky bay fixed menu and loved it. Our friend ordered the horse and we all tried it and LOVED it...needless to say we were surprised. The beef... More

Fantastic staff & food - a must visit if your in the city 😀 The 'sample / fixed' menus were perfect to try some of the local cuisine.... I could highly recommend the seahorse menu (& no it didn't have 'seahorse' in it lol )

Had late dinner at Forrettabarinn with a group of colleagues and we all really enjoyed the great food and service we got. The restaurant is a little bit off the main track in downtown Reykjavik but very much worth the extra few minutes of walk. It is also conveniently located right across the street from Icelandair Hotel Marina. The menu... More

The atmosphere here is definitely a bit electric but the food is excellent. Also, compare those prices to other "mid-range" restaurants and you'll see why this place is a gem!! My boyfriend did the Smokey Bay tasting menu while I only order the Atlantic Char and a dessert. I appreciated that they didn't make use both do a tasting as... More

Really good meal here. The menus are very reasonable but we ended up eating a la carte anyhow. One tip if you're hungry early is that that bar has a happy hour from 5pm to 7pm! I had the quesadilla, cod and chocolate pudding. My wife had the salmon, cod and Skyr. The price was really great (for Iceland) and... More

We went here on our last night, e-mail to book first. Arrived before the end of happy hour which was an advantage. We both went for the set menu's, I went for Seahorse and my husband had Flyfish. It was a mouthwatering tour of flavours and textures. We shared so guess we had more than four courses. Seahorse was fish... More
