This is one of those places that you go to because it's all hyped up, you become somewhat disappointed, give it another go later only to have you disappointment verified. That is at least my experience.

Was quite shocked to pay 4500 ISK for a burger+ beer . Not been at Hamborgarafabrikkan for a about one year but it's getting more expensive. But the burger is very tasty and service is okay!

Great place to go and feel like a local while having a great burger. This places was recommended to us by a local we met on the plane into Reykjavik. It's inside of the shopping center so not fancy but they do have a good...More

So I have this review about '' Hamborgarasmidjan '' probably being the best burger place in iceland. And let me tell you this, I was wrong. Because hamborgarafabrikkan will take its place by being the best burger I've had in iceland. But it's worth it....More

Convenient place to go with friends who are vegetarian or vegan. Good place for burgers with many choices. Reasonable price for Iceland.

Wednesday and Thursday were extreme wind days in which I had trouble walking. This was a couple of blocks from Cabin Hotel so I tried it. Very good burger and fries. The cole slaw could have used some vinegar and sugar since it was a...More

Average food, pricey not overpriced, long wait and annoying music in the dining hall. This looks like fine dining but it's actually the Icelandic version of fast food non-franchise style. It's ok to try once but I don't think many travelers visit again. I hardly...More

I have been to this location and the one in Akureyri. Every time we come here the food is wonderful. Burgers are always big and juicy. Definitely a good place to go before going to Laugavegur for drinks after.

I visited last week, I won't be visiting again. There are much nicer places in the city serving burgers. Don't be misled by the name, it is nothing like a US Roadhouse, a very poor imitation.

The food was incredible and the prices weren't outrageous (as far as Icelandic food prices go). We had two burgers, two drinks, and a fun burger muffin for desert for around 5,000isk. The food was incredible, the service was quick, and it was my wife's...More

Description
PLEASED TO "MEAT" YOU Ok. You're in Iceland. Probably not for the first time. Not something you do every year, right? You will probably bathe in the Blue Lagoon and take a road trip to Gullfoss and Geysir. That's all well and good. But neither is something you eat. That's why we have 15 brilliant and creative hamburgers at the Hamburger Factory. And they are all perfectly square. Made from 100% fresh high-quality ingredients, directly from Icelandic nature. The Hamburger Factory is Iceland's most innovative gourmet burger chain. Packed with burger-craving customers since its opening in 2010, among the regulars is Iceland's best known fisherman, Eric Clapton. We have three wonderful restaurants in Iceland. The mothership opened in 2010 on the groundfloor of the highest tower in Reykjavík, right opposite Höfdi house. Our second one is in Akureyri, the capital of the north. It opened in 2013 on the groundfloor of the historic Hotel Kea in the heart of the town's center. The third one opened in the spring of 2014 in Icelander's favorite shopping mall, Kringlan. Be sure to stop by before you leave. You will love it. And we will love you back. BE SQUARE AND BE THERE!
