Went there while staying at Hilton ... Much cheaper ...free refills on coffee ....just pasteries, rolls ,and sandwiches for breakfast ....big dining area ...
We tried both the cakes and the basic ham and cheese sandwiches. They were both VERY average. Nothing special at all about them. Since we came because of Lonely Planet's high recommendation, we were very disappointed when the items turned out to be so average....More
My wife is from Denmark so of course she loved the name. Being that it's right next door to the hotel, you can eat here for a lot less money. The pastries, rolls, coffee, tea and sandwiches were all very good.
This wonderful bakery is across the street from the Reykjavik Hilton Nordica. Their pastries are marvelous -- especially their version of what they call Napoleon's Hat (don't think of what a napoleon is in the U.S.), which is a variation on a popular purse-type pastry...More
