If you're looking for a no-frill, cheap burger and beer for less than $15 in a cosy atmosphere and quick service, look no further. Friendly service, good burger and you're all set.

I've had better burgers but this place is quite nice in the sense that it is original and unpretentious and it is off the main street. Don't expect Hard Rock type bugers, but if anything they're not worse. The price is also good. I would go there again for sure.

Went for a quick cheap dinner. That is exactly what it was. Service was average - not very friendly. We were the only ones in the place at 5pm on a Friday. Price was good for Iceland.

Popular place so go early. Simple, no frills, tasty and cheap. Highly recommend versus other over priced places

This place has been my favorite in Reykjavík so far. Amazing burger every single time. Very simple place with simple food but big in heart and atmosphere.

I had read about Vitabar in my Lonely Planet book and it was recommended to us by a Tourist Information Centre. It's situated on a corner in a neighborhood a few blocks from the main shopping district. It is not well marked and we nearly walked past it. There are not a lot of tables but there just happened to... More

Reykjavik is very expensive but you can find pleasurable eating without breaking the bank. Vitabar is one such place. Basically it serves great beer and excellent burgers at what, for Reykjavik is a reasonable price. This is a small, slightly shabby bar in a side street where we spent a couple of very pleasant evenings munching juicy burgers with chips... More

This is quick, good food at a great price in comparison to everywhere else in Reykjavik. Its a little out the way but its quite romantic and cosy in there. My food was lovely my boyfriends bacon and cheese burger was over done for him but we did really appreciate the quick arrival of food and great value for money.

Read the reviews and decided to give the burgers a try. Food was good. You order at the bar. Restaurant is very small. Feels like a local hang out. Good place to grab bite in a city that is ridiculously over priced.

No frills here, small selection on the menu. But very good sized portions, excellent value. What they do do, they do well. Fast service, too.
