An energetic atmosphere in a warm and vibrant venue. Excellent service, food knowledge and recommendations. Wine very good and outstanding fish and lamb dishes. Conveniently situated in the heart of the tourist district and worth booking well ahead of time. Certainly a great choice of...More

In mid-May we completed a tour around the Ring Road in Iceland traveling in a clockwise direction which ended on a Saturday afternoon. Our final dinner with the tour group was on Saturday evening at The Fish Company (FISKFÉLAGID) on Vesturgata 2A. I can't comment...More

It was hard to find a place for us to celebrate our mums 82 birthday. But this place ticked most of our boxes. Good food and service and attentive staff who were keen to help make this a nice evening . It was central and...More

It is not cheap even by Iceland standards but the portion sizes are extremely generous. The cuisine is innovative and is presented beautifully. We had the catfish which was tasty and the attic char was beautifully done. The decor is dark and the staff are extremely...More

This restaurant was rated as a top restaurant for fish this year. It must be popular as I stopped by around 8:45 without a reservation and was told they couldn't take me until 9:30. I waited as I wanted to see if it was as...More

Dinner was expertly prepared. Ingredients married well. They certainly know how to do fish. Foodies will love the place. The not-so-pleasant attitude of a young male staff somewhat spoiled the restaurant visit.

This is a great restaurant. The food is awesome and it has a great atmosphere. The staff were upbeat and friendly and very helpful for folks with food allergies. The arctic char was excellent and the pork belly incredible.

Firstly we were happy because the restaurant, unlike many tourist places, did NOT serve whale. The cuisine was exquisite. My partner and I are foodies and we loved the around the world experience. Great value for money considering the prices in Iceland! Great and friendly...More

It looks nice and cozy but inside it is all big tourist groups and rushed unpersonal service. The food gets ruined by the huge amount of sauce they put on it. The prices are extremely high: more than €200 per person with a bottle of...More

This is seven months late, but for those wondering, 1) Yes, they have a children's menu 2) We were seated next to a well-behaved 4 or 5 year-old at dinner time - no issues whatsoever.
