Delicious crust that I expect from Neapolitan pizza. The pizza’s are a little big for a personal size, just as a FYI. Picture of the pizza that is no longer...too good to not eat first 😁

I lived in Italy for 3 years and there are numerous places that say, "tastes like Italy" or "fresh from Italy" , whatnot, but this place lives up to the hype. The place is smaller, typical Italian style, quick and friendly service. Wide selection of...More

We went there for business lunch, place was crowded and a little bit noisy when it's full. But the taste of pizza was delicious, a little bit small, but the taste of it rewards it.

The best pizza I have ever eaten. The dough is really really good and the toppings also. Can also recommend the Nutella pizza with almonds. The atmosphere was really cozy.

I would recommend this pizza place. First of all the pizza is average price for Iceland and the quality of the ingredients is good. Service is quick and friendly. Only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that I felt the dough...More

We found this restaurant on Tripadvisor. It's a little off the beaten track, or so it seemed, but is only a five minute walk along from the downtown area. The pizzas are cooked in 60 seconds apparently and are excellent and fresh. The menu is...More

Dined with family on a quiet early Thursday night. Quality of the pizza was mixed as the meatball lacked meatballs and flavor. The buffalo mozzarella was equally as bland. Pepperonni was good and the special with carmelized dates and pepperoni was excellent. Beer selection was...More

If the weather would be better, I would think I was having a pizza in Rome... but it's Iceland, close to the harbour. If you like pizza.. go there.

Neapolitan pizzeria - Downtown Reykjavik. Short cooking time, simple quality ingredients and fine workmanship are the marks of a Flatey pizza. The results are naturally flavourful and wholesome pizzas. Flatey draws inspiration from Neapolitan tradition, where simplicity comes first when selecting ingredients and cooking. In the regions surrounding Naples, traditional pizza artistry has practically remained unchanged since the 18th century. Margherita is the classic Neapolitan pizza, and a staff favourite here at Flatey. According to history, the first margherita was made in 1889 when baker Raffaele Esposito decorated a pizza to resemble the Italian flag in honor of queen Margherita di Savoia. He used tomatoes for red, mozzarella cheese for white and finally basil leaves for green.
