The soup was fine but didn't find a lot of lobster in it. The basket of bread and butter that came with it was excellent. The place was very busy and crowded when we were there around 1:00 p.m. nothing fancy we are outside on...More

We went 2 nights in a row at the start of our Icelandic trip. We were warned meals were expensive. The Sea Baron is extremely reasonable, and the kabobs excellent. Staff was friendly, and service was quick. We had shrimp & scallop, and vegetable kabobs...More

Sorry, but coming from Canada, I have high expectations of seafood, especially lobster soup. Mine was mostly broth with a few over- cooked bits of lobster. Plaice fish was mushy. Might as well have been sushi and miso soup. Outrageously priced for the quality and...More

For some honest home made grub this is the place to go. There's nothing fancy about this place just simple good cooked food. The lobster soup is famous throughout and tastes even better if it's a cold wintery day.

First you have to know that I never exaggerate-it doesn't help anyone. I try to be as specific as possible. My husband and I had just arrived in Reykjavik and without double checking I insisted this was the place I heard about in a great...More

Best lobster soup in Reykjavik they said. Best whale steak in Reykjavik they said. They were right. But who are they? They are the locals. This seems to be a family-run business and they are very nice and welcoming. The food was indeed delicious, and...More

This is small restaurant located in the Reykjavik harbor. It is famous for its lobster soup and it did not disappoint. Probably the best soup I've ever had. Really good set up in the restaurant

I'm not sure if they are open on the 24th or not. I don't think they take reservations it's very informal.
