Saegreifinn is located in the Old Port area of Reykjavik and is world famous for having the “World’s Greatest Lobster Soup”. I’m a huge fan of lobster – and soup – so when I read about the Sea Baron, I knew we had to visit....More

It's a small resturant but it adds character to the place. The food (I had lobster soup) is really really good. This is the second time there for me since I liked the soup that much last time. Worth a visit if you like more...More

We went here for lunch on a cold, rainy, dark day. So did everyone else. When you go inside, you wait to place your order at the counter, then find a seat. They bring your food to you. If the front room is crowded, there...More

Very cramped with substantial order line and even longer wait to get food. Very few seating available. We only found tourists like ourselves here. Worse, we only found the food to be just okay and definitely not worth the effort to find the restaurant and...More

Interesting restaurant where you ordered your dish first and then you find your own seating. Lobster soup is very good, the bread that comes with it are even better! We had the cod and salmon skewer which we find the cod taste better. My friend...More

After reading all the great reviews of this place it was our first stop for lunch on our Icelandic trip. I ordered the scallop skewer and my wife the cod skewer. Both came with delicious bread and butter. Which we consumed while waiting for the...More

Still good lobster soup, but clearly suffering from tourist flow - service can be slow and tables dirty if you get there when it's crowded... and it is most of the time.

The crowded Sea Baron was a poor choice for our last dinner before we left Iceland. The restaurant is as basic as it gets: You select your entree from a refrigerated case, and then order at the register before you are seated at communal tables...More
