While I don't consider myself a sushi expert by any means, the salmon sashimi that we had here was undoubtedly the best I have ever tasted. Sushibarinn appears to be primarily a take out restaurant but there are. 8-10 chairs inside as well. Prices are consistent with other comparable places in town.

I should say bar and cafe. It seems that everyone here in iceland is into selling coffee. I had the 10 piece nigiri combo. Considering the costs of things here in Reykjavik I would say this restaurant offers decent value for money.

Visited Sushibarinn in October. We tried the Edamame, California rolls and salmon lover and it was all very good. Very friendly staff and atmosphere was nice and cozy. Highly recommended!

Loved loved this restaurant, the prices are quite pricey (but nothing new there in Reykjavik!) but the sushi is gorgeous and really good portion sizes. The staff are lovely too.

Cozy atmosphere. Make sure to get the sashimi - it's cut really thick and is the best item on the menu hands-down. Rolls are basic, not bad.

Tripadvisor says, they have gluten free options, but they really don't. Only one dish found, because for example there is gluten in The rice. We also had a starter dish brought to us when The waitress told us that there is soya sauce with gluten. It was not able to make it without soya. We sent it back and changed... More

We got here at 8:56 still waiting on the rest of our order after 60 minutes. Sushi is OK but with what you pay for it you would expect to get it within at least 30 minutes. Would not recommend this place for people who value their time.

As big sushi fans we loved it. A more creative sushi with ok prices for Reykjavik. Maybe a little too much flavouring on the special makis: they especially exaggerate with garlic and spicy sauce in my opinion, but if you get simpler dishes it's great.

For sushi? This is a nice place to go. Their staircase is painted in beautiful blues like ocean water. Narrow staircase heading up to the second floor so be careful. I thought the prices were expensive for what you got. Waitresses were nice but did not seem to know too much about their menu items.

One of us ordered miso soup and it was also good. The two highlights for me were they had tamari sauce and they had vegan options. I... More
