They charge 8 krona to view the nearby mountain landscape or to walk the abandoned Viking Movie site. A very small cup of coffee is another 8 krona.

If you have time, it is worth seeing, but not if you are pressed for time. The Café really doesn't offer much at all, so don't head here looking for food of any substance or quality. The hook is really the chance to walk out to the old movie set that has been abandoned and decaying for years. It is... More

I agree with previous reviews. The cafe and Viking Village are probably not worth the time and $ to get there, have a coffee and roam the grounds. The woman at the cafe where you need to pay for entrance, was cold and unwelcoming. The couple that arrived ahead of us were so turned off by her that they simply... More

After reading all about the controversy surrounding this place, I figured the views must be to-die-for so we decided to make it a must-see on our trip this year. One word: disappointing. We thought that, similar to some private access or maintained areas in the States, a 7 USD fee was really reasonable and paid gladly. The cafe was closed... More

Just a run down shop - restaurant . Have to pay to take the walking path - no point really, so many other places to visit , would not really bother to take the side road to here.

When we first saw the signs that the access to the beach costs money, we were quite shocked and close to leaving. While we discussed it, seven people came and left after seeing the signs... In the end we decided to pay the 800 krona per person because otherwise it would've been the second thing for this day we didn't... More

The Viking Cafe experience was very disappointing. We had to pay 8 kr each to walk to a run down movie set. I thought there was a path/trail that I could follow to walk down towards a light house. I couldn't find a trail or path to follow. The place is run down and I definitely would not recommend taking... More

I usually like family run/quirky/off the beaten path places but this was odd/overpriced and felt like a tourist trap. The "Viking village" is a small village of Viking houses (but only the shells, there is nothing inside). They were filled with water and the paper machete rock "mountain" was decaying and dripping down into the grass. There was no context... More

We saw this in our lonely planet guide book and saw the word "waffles" and had to check it out! A cute little cafe with not much to choose from but their waffles, hot chocolate, and tea selection were amazing. They had homemade rhubarb jam and cream to put on the waffles that was so good. It's family style seating... More
