Perfectly fresh. Perfectly filling. Perfectly good. What a lunch!
Located in the Cable Factory collection of galleries, museums, and artist workspaces a bit away from the city center, but walkable and with good transit, Hime & Sali offers terrific homey food and drinks. With its...up-to-the-minute styled patrons and servers and fabulous, industrial-chic décor, the restaurant could come off as too trendy for its own good, but don’t hold that against it. Beneath the trendiness, you will find probably the most incredible cafeteria in the world serving food that is as fresh as it is delicious.
The superb salad bar comes with sensational bread and the marvelously crunchy Finnish crackers that I eat at home. Perfectly suited to the cold and rainy day we visited, the ample pasta dishes warmed us from the inside out and the pea soup has to be the very best that I’ve ever had. Easily. Lots of other options too; plus, beer and wine as well. The desserts looked delectable, but we were too full to try them.
So, if you are in or near the Cable Factory and want a snack or a meal or if you just want a terrific eating experience for its own sake, you need look no further.More
