Very popular luch menu with 4-5 choises. Could do with a better salad Buffet, but the food is good. Some dishes are spiced to nordic taste, but the spicy dishes are tasty. Allways chooose the spicy option!

Excellent ginger lamb with rice, naan, raita and garam massala/ spice cumin sauce. We came curious, left very pleased Erinomainen inkiväärilammas-annos naan-leivän, raitan ja garam massala/jeerakastikkeen kera. Tulimme uteliaina, lähdimme kylläisinä ja tyytyväisinä.

Great food, polite service, clean facilities

Third time eating here. Food has been excellent every time. Prices are ok. Facilities are also properly maintained. Prices are normal. I recommend the Chicken Siraz 😀

Food is good But service is a disappointment

I use this restaurant for lunch purposes approx 1-2 times/ week. The restaurant has an customer loyalty System that every 10th lunch is free. My CL card was full of stamps But I took it 2 days . late on the period of validity. The reaction was that they ripped my card and I did not get the benefit. Thi is off because i visit the restaurant approx 50-100 times/ year

Good Indian/Nepali vegetarian cuisine

If you are around Arabia and looking for an Asian(Indian) taste then Swagatam Restaurant is the place to be at. It is a nice peaceful place, typical Nepali ambiance and a cool look with light Nepali music playing in the background. It satisfies your taste buds but please go with an empty stomach, else you may feel a bit heavy after lunch. The Nepali Uncle was quite courteous and me as an Indian, he understood what I was looking for. Flexible. Nice experience.

On my business trip we went for lunch to Swagatam. They offer a daily lunch menue card with about 5 dishes incl. a salat from the buffet and a coffee. The lamb curry I had was good. The salad from the buffet so and so. I would not go there the whole week.

Excellent food

Visited this restaurant for dinner and had Mismas Thali plate. Everything was excellent: lamm, chicken, shrimps, sauces, Nan bread, etc. and friendly service. This will be one of our can favorite places. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Pretty good!

I have visited Swagatam quite many times, and it never really fails. Good level of food and everything is tasty - maybe somewhat adjusted to finnish taste, decent-sized portions, good take-away-service. Service is good as well, and prices are pretty decent, during lunch-time even cheap. Really worth a try!

Great Nepalese food

Swagatam is a family favourite of ours. First of all it seems to be always open, also on bank holidays when most restaurants close their doors. We have always been very satisfied with both the food and service. The menu has a lot to choose from. I can never remember my favourites, so I always end up finding new favourites!

Comfortable, Satisfying Nepalese Food

Swagatam is a comfortable and reliable place serving tasty Nepalese food in the Töölö area. Easily serviced by bus and tram and just half a block from the Töölö farmer's market. There's also a lovely bakery and an alcohol store in the market area. The food isn't as spicy as some might like. Maybe this is the norm in Finland or maybe I just don't know enough about Nepalese food. But the food is fragrant, beautifully presented, and reasonably priced. The service is excellent.

Quite a disappointing experience

First, let's have the positive things to say: the food was quite ok. But: - we had a table reservation but the table was not ready (forks and knives had to be asked separately when the food arrived, drinking glasses we took ourselves from the desk) - food took 45 minutes to come, after which we were in a hurry (as taking the order took it's time too) - lassi-drink was warm - one of the beers we ordered never arrived (and as we were in a hurry we thought it didn't mind) but we we went to pay on the desk - as it seemed the fastest way of getting out of the restaurant - they insisted we must pay the beer and even though we said to count the bottles (total of 3 beers that had arrived for a group of six) they didn't want to understand but insisted on paying. I think it was a one-time visit to this restaurant.

quality Nepalese food in cosy setting

formerly known as Swagat, this is a reliable and cosy place for Nepalese food either in the evening or at lunchtime. I am writing this review having just returned from having a tasty lamb and ginger lunch curry there. generous portion of good quality lamb, tasty sauce, and nice rice and warm naan bread to accompany. lunch also includes a plate of the limited salad bar offering, and coffee to finish. despite it being late for the lunch rush, various other people came in, indicating that the place has generated some established custom due to consistent quality. definitely worth a trip if you are in the area.
