Great taste, good portions

We ordered combi-plates and the portions were more than sufficient. The taste is very good and the ambiance is OK. The service is very friends and helpfull. However, sometimes you must wait as they keep getting a lot take-away-orders by phone and they have trouble keeping up. Prices are more than reasonable. We came back the next day, as we really liked it.

The best Nepalese restaurant

Food is always exellent, tasty and fresh. I usually order it home by Wolt and I have never been disappointed. I've also visited in the restaurant (Hietalahti), service has been friendly and polite. I've tried other restaurants too but this is number one. I highly recommend this place.

A nice, typical Nepalese restaurant

The staff was very welcoming. We had mango lassis, which were excellent. The flatbread with a spicy taco-like sauce was really good. The butter chicken was good, but the rice that came with it was plain, no spices or seasoning. The chicken momo were tasty and there was a nice chicken soup. The service wasn't all that fast, but it wasn't terrible. For some reason, even though we had asked for naan and the server said it was coming, we were almost done eating our whole meal before we asked again and he finally brought it out. It was quite good, once we got it. The prices were pretty high, considering the portion size. It was a good restaurant, just not amazing.

The best nepalí dinner

The restaurant was nearly closed but the waiter accepted our order for taking away anyways. The envelops of the meals were great and the meal was excelent. We recomend chicken momos and samosas. Very Good dinner. Thank you.

Most AMAZING food ever (and i’m picky)

This is the most amazing food I have ever eaten. Every single thing my boyfriend and I tasted was phenomenal. I would come here everyday if I could. I hope this place becomes as popular as it deserves to be. If you are considering going, do it. Service is also wonderful!

Good restaurant during hot summer

Neat and clean restaurant with good service and vegetarian food. Relatively easy to reach with a tram from Helsinki centre. I loved it how they had A/C during the hot summer months of Helsinki. That made dining a pleasant experience.

A very nice Nepalese dining experience...

The place is rather small yet with a very cosy atmosphere...the greeting was warm and friendly...and so was the food ! :)) Very decent portions with a very good service.

Very slow service during lunch

Food is quite ok but avoid lunch time. The service is very slow and waiting time for your lunch (served to tables) is far too long, over half an hour.

Was looking for a restaurant nearby the hotel as it was raining. This place turned out to be good and was able to adjust the preparation as per request. One thing for sure lamb should be more well done. Overall good one go for it

Attentive service with great food

Coming from London I was wary trying Indian/Nepalese restaurant in Helsinki but that was what my sister wanted. Making a selection from ones available in the evening we ended in Aangan and I am so glad we did. The restaurant was a little distance from our Glo Kluuvi hotel but still walkable. When we arrived it was really quiet we were only people there so the anxiety levels crept up again. However the welcome was very friendly and courteous so we settled in. After deciding on our 2 chicken and one vegetarian side dish the food arrived in good time while we were enjoying drinks and chatting and the restaurant received more customers as well as obviously busy take away service. Every dish was delicious and plenty enough of it. The nan bread was thinner than I am accustomed to but far more tastier making mopping up sauce and rice easy too. My sister loved the yogurt sauce on her food. The spicing in the dishes was excellent with defined flavours of the spices listed on the menu. We actually could not finish everything so I asked for a doggy bag for my sister. The service remained kind and polite. I would love to return here try more dishes if I have a chance. Also to see if the experience and quality of food remains as high second time around. Yes the restaurant interior design may not be the most enticing, however good food, service and company kept mind occupied on the important things. The washroom was very clean an important yardstick for a restaurant.

Nice taste!

I picked the restaurant to try my favourite naan bread with cheese. Among the varieties of taste, the white souce that went so well with naan bread, made a terrific combination and left me completely satisfied

OMG the NAAN!

My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner here this evening, and quite by accident. The first restaurant we planned to go to was closed (Sunday), and so was the second, and so we just started walking to find something. Upon first seeing Aangan, we were simply happy it was open. Then we were treated to a delicious feast, starting with samosas, and then lamb tandoori and aloo gobi complete with rice, dal, salad, dip, and the most perfect naan bread I’ve ever had! This was even more than the menu promised. None of it was too spicy and we had leftovers for another taste tomorrow. Accompanied by a glass of Riesling and a beer from Nepal for hubby made for a wonderful night.
