Fabulous food and brilliant service. Salmon mousse with a beetroot puree to start - beautifully balanced and delicate. Mains were brochettes of marinated beef with bearnaise. Veg was potatoes and a root veg farcou. Again, the balance was ideal. Pud was macarons with a creme and chocolate fondant sauce. It doesn't get better. Sunny day on the terrace. Perfect.

Pick a day where you can eat in the courtyard, a very lovely spot on the small road that runs around this charming town. We were welcomed in English and nothing was too much trouble for either of the two servers. Equally excellent was the first class food. We have found nothing to equal this in the whole area including... More

We want to visit as many of the Bonnes Tables Du Lot as possible. So far this is the best one that we have visited but we have many more to go.Choose the Gastronomic menu available at the weekend, You can have a taster, a starter or a main course of a number of dishes. The service is impeccable, the... More

We were ready for a simple meal after walking from Mas de la Daynac, but were attracted by the reviews and were not disappointed. Apart from the wine (our choice) it was reasonably priced. We mostly chose a la carte and were rewarded with additional amuses bouches. The salmon carpaccio and rocammadour entrees were tiny but beautiful. The mains of... More

We were in the area on holiday and enjoyed a long lazy lunch - I would recommend a visit. A place to go for a treat as its little more expensive than the average but was worth the extra.

We had a summer lunch one Saturday - a market day in Cajarc. The sun shone over the little courtyard and made it an even more pleasant interlude. The three-course menu bistronomique was a delight - rillettes of mackerel, steak with wonderful fried potatoes and a chocolate and orange mousse. A couple of glasses of simple, but delicious, local wine... More

It was quiet that evening. Service was attentive, but not intrusive and the food we ordered: Girolles with risotto, followed by Pollock was excellent. We didn't need the extras that came between courses, and didn't particularly enjoy them, which was a shame as they detracted from the overall experience. However, the dessert: chocolate brownie was superb, if rather rich. Expensive,... More

This exceptional restaurant has now introduced occasional 'Cooking Classes', which is an experience not to be missed. I attended my first class a couple of days ago and am now looking out for more opportunities! What a fabulous time. The class I chose to attend was 'Apero ce soir', where we were taught to make some beautiful pre dinner snacks.... More

Having seen a link to Valentine's Day menus in the Lot, I was reading the menus out to my husband. When I got to L'Allée des Vignes menu he decided we really must go as it sounded so good. We have lived in the area for 5 years but were not aware of this restaurant at all, it was a... More

I have reviewed this restaurant previously, but not for a couple of years and yesterday we seized our first opportunity to revisit this charming restaurant. To say 'sublime' does not even capture the pleasure of eating at this perfect restaurant. We enjoyed their special seasonal truffle menu and every single mouthful of food was a joy and experience; from the... More
