Were there at dinner with swedish friend to let us taste typical food. I had a fish, well cooked. but not astonishing. Wine not remarkable, but not bad. In spring they serve outside, which makes this place much better.

We had a nice light dinner here. They offer a "mellanmal" ( little meal) menu, smaller portions but high quality. The meal came with homemade bread and truffle butter. The service was good, and the dining room is well decorated. We were staying at the hotel, breakfast was not as good nor as high quality. The eggs were over cooked... More

We went some colleagues for a Swedish christmas buffet for lunch. Reservation is probably needed, because it looked fully booked - yet quite calm atmosphere. The interior is beautiful and staff very professional and friendly. A nice touch was the welcoming of serving hot glögg outside. The buffet contains all the traditional Swedish christmas food you can ask for, and... More

Non traditional gourmet good presented well! A new chef with new cuisine. We had the paprika soup, salmon tartare, mushroom ravioli. And beef with marrow. All were excellent! Lovely quiet atmosphere.

This restaurant is one of the shrinking number in Stockholm that focuses on serving traditional Swedish food and it does so in a location that is steeped in history. It's a great place to take visitors to Sweden to give them a a taste of traditional fare. Prices are not cheap, but the food quality was good and the ambiance... More

The place is very characteristics and well-attended for lunch. At Christmas time, there is a very nice atmosphere. They offer the traditional Swedish Christmas buffet, with all the classics, but with the addition of more and more interesting cold cuts, cheeses, meat, salmon etc. It can be a bit pricy, but worth trying.

This resturant looks very fancy from the outside and it's pretty nice enviroment inside. However you should expect to pay almost 200 SEK for a one course lunch. We were ready to pay that price but of course we also expected to get what we paid for. The food is good but not exceptional or even great. They pay a... More

I think this place is a perfect choice for lunch when you show Stockholm to someone, especially if this someone dislikes touristic places. It is soaked in traditions, from design to the faces of people. Food is good, the prices are fairly high. Coffee is excellent, even at lunch. Be prepared that candlelight destroys most of the oxygen in the... More

Interessant old/traditionnal building in the middle of a modern area. The restaurant might be worth a visit because of the surrounding and the pleasant atmosphere. However, keep in mind that this is an upper end place: You would not feel at ease in too casual clothe and the prices are fairly high.

The restaurant is in a beautifully restored coaching inn just outside of the center of Stockholm. The menu is traditional Swedish fare and there is a nice wine list to accompany the fine food. The service is terrific. Make a reservation and dress accordingly.

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
