The first day we arrived in Stockholm we were lucky enough to stumble across this restaurant. My husband and I were starving by mid afternoon and looking for a decent lunch while we explored the old town. They were very friendly in this cafe, and...More

Looks appealing froom the outside and doesn't disappoint once inside. This cafe has a really distinctive style, serves great tasting food (brunch/lunch). Not sure about an evening meal. Staff are friendly and amusing! Wish I'd had the chance to go back a second time.

Perfect place to not just have dinner but enjoy jazz, orange smell and juice, cozy atmosphere and street view! Love it!

Nice place for Sunday breakfast. Cappuccino could be a bit improved but orange juice was spot on. Will come back to check out the pastries.

I was looking for a really good cappuccino and wandered down Drottninggatan to Cafe Schweizer. It looked immediately very inviting, warm, and comfortable. I found plenty of seating space inside, but sat outside to enjoy the cooler weather. The place smells very pleasant with the...More

Coffee is terrible. We had both Espresso and Macchiato, both tasted awful and we left it without drinking. Price is very high. Service was fine. The interior is quite worn and not attractive. It is very popular a perfect tourist trap in my opinion.

Near the Royal Palace, it’s a nice place to enjoy a break (and free wi-fo for costumers hehe). You can also leave a note on the walls. I had a fresh squeezed orange juice and a cinnamon bun - really good. Nice staff and clean...More

Beautiful cafe, but there is not a lot of seating available. Attracts a lot of visitors given the decorative entrance. Portions are large and ingredients are very fresh; however, found the atmosphere crowded and rushed to finish my meal to leave. Also, originally sat at...More

We only called in for a coffee and a mandatory cinnamon bun but enjoyed a whole lot more. Not to mention Sweden’s finest ABBA piped in from musical heaven and wall to wall, ceiling to floor graffiti. Everything was quite delicious. If it wasn’t for...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
