The staff was really nice and the place cosy. I went there to try out Swedish salmon, and it was delicious. Big portions and good veggies as side dish. However, what I absolutely adored was the bread with butter-mousse. It was delicious, I could have...More

Very reasonable dinner for such a touristic area. Meals were good, all four of us were happy with orders. Took a while for meals to be served. Would recommend it if you're in the area.

We had a lovely family meal here (no children) . Highly recommend the herring and the Swedish delicacy platter. Delicious food and drink (a great selection of wine and beer as well as whisky) with good service in relaxed surroundings. We really enjoyed our dinner...More

It's a whisky bar, it's a Swedish restaurant and it clearly has a certain nerdy pub feel to it as well. It was packed even on a Thursday night and we ended up perched at the end of the bar. Even from there they gave...More

Firstly, a great selection of whiskies and wines. A very interesting mix of entrees and starters as well. Very Swedish but with a mod feel and atmosphere. Had an amazing venison carpaccio, than lobster soup with other seafood and greens and my partner had swedish...More

We got a table without booking on a Friday night when it was very busy. Which we now know was very good luck! Service was excellent and the food was top class. Salmon, cod and a lobster bisque was startlingly good . The bar looked...More

This place was packed - so booking us a must. The craft beer is excellent and the food was really sophisticated. It was the best restaurant we experienced in Stockholm.

Surprising, that is, for a place that really makes its name from its whiskey and beer menus. We had the seafood plate and reindeer steak, both of which were excellent with the seafood being probably a bit better. Service is a bit uneven, but friendly...More

We lucked into this place through Trip Advisor with a 30% discount for a 9 p.m. reservation. The bar was crowded but not the restaurant. Our server was excellent, very attentive but not pushy, and well versed in the broad selection of 350 whiskies offered....More

In the middle of the tourist section of the Old City, the Ardbeg Embassy has a great whisky selection, comfortable environment, and a very friendly staff. There is also a fairly broad selection of beers on tap including many local craft brands.

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
