We had dinner outside in a very picturesque little square. Waiters were friendly, but could have been somewhat more attentive and perhaps have requested that a particularly vocal diner seated at nearby table reduce the volume of her public broadcasts... We shared a mixed starting...More

This is certainly the best cafe in Old Town! It's has a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food! We ate here a couple times during our trip. The staff even reserved the last piece of Swedish Vanilla Cake for us so we could try...More

Located in Gamla Stan; had a great lunch (soup and sandwiches) at this cafe/bakery on a side street; you order, they bring you your food and then you find a table (note that there are more table downstairs).

Had two very good meals at this restaurant. Chose local dishes, Reindeer and the Meat balls. Both very good. Need to book to guarantee a table as it does not always open up all the tables. Service was good and was allowed a wine tasting...More

Gorgeous cafe, lovely owner. Half the options are gluten free and made in a separate gluten free kitchen. Sanwhich, yoghurt and a coffee for 70 sek. I wish we'd found this beauty at the start of our trip!

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
