A small cafe located in the old town of Stockholm. They have good local homemade food, and is a great place to stop for lunch while sightseeing. I ate the potate pancakes and i loved it. Recommended!!

We enjoyed "Under the Chestnut Tree" so much we went back for a second time. The Salmon plate and the Swedish meatballs were each delicious. Service was excellent. Friendly staff. Three of us highly recommend this restaurant.

My friend recommended this restaurant to us...and boy, we sure were not disappointed. The ambiance, service and food were great. Ordered their meatball with gravy and pork meal. It is also near the royal palace, Hilda hilda and some interesting shops.

On a chilly December afternoon we found this great cafe. Everything looked so delicious we forgot to save room for the smorgasbord items. A must try if you find yourself in Stockholm.

Only had a cup of tea here with my friend but it was really good tea, served in a large cup, large teabag Earl Grey. Chilled water on tap. Nice atmosphere and a gentleman playing classical music on a piano in the small square outside....More

A wonderful respite from the crowds of Gamla Stan, and only a few yards away from the bustle. Wide range of lunch options, inexpensive to fine, salad to Swedish meatballs. Some great desserts as well.

Inspired by comments on Tripadvisor we made an online reservation for 4. Cosy restaurant with limited choice but great food. Black burger and lamb sirloin were excellent. Reasonable prices for wines. Friendly staff,... Just one thing: don't try the Irish Coffee, could be much better...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
