We’ve been in the restaurant for the NYE dinner. They served a special menu: very tasty and well presented. The restaurant is nice and easy to reach in Norrmalm. The staff was very kind. Recommended.

SMAK is the Swedish word for flavour. At this great restaurant you get to compose your own menu based on what flavours you like. From a menu you chose dishes that's based on your preferences. For example the flavours can be "Lemongrass", "Almond", "Mustard" or "Soy" and each flavour represents a full dish on the menu. In this example the... More

Really worth it if you are willing to try some different food, if you prefer traditional food and tastes I do not recommend Smak.

Seems like they nowadays only live on past glories. The lunches are good, however not worth it for dinner occasions. Too pricey for a concept that has gotten quite old.

Went there few times already. The concept is unique with the different tastes. The portions are of the right size so you can go for 5 pieces. Some of the dishes are really delicious, e.g the trout, some are more average to my taste. There could be some more options for dessert. A bit pricy overall.

As I said initially I was sceptical to celebrating my wife's birthday at this restaurant as the reviews I just read said that two out of three were dissatisfied with SMAK. However, my daugther convinced me that SMAK was something different and could eventually turn away custumers with a conventional taste. I gave in and said we try it. The... More

On a spontaneous impulse I found myself at the entrance of SMAK without having heard about it before and decided to enter. I didn't have a reservation but manage to get a small two person table. The headwaiter explained the concept which was a bit different than other places. The interior was chic and the light dimmed so I had... More

Pinewood, ginger, blueberry, horseradish or smoke can be a menu. For less than 500 Swedish crowns you get a tasting menu of five flavors. These will surprise you, regardless if you combine your own or take the recommended for the evening. It's an interesting way to eat, and not something you would do yourself so very inspiring for tastebuds and... More

Me and my girlfriend decided to go out for a spontaneus dinner, so we put on some nice dress and headed to this restaurant that an acquaintance suggested me. At the restaurant we asked the headwaiter for a sit, but then he just looked at me and then said that their booking system have been down for weeks so he... More

Taken here by Swedish business colleagues who had booked well in advance. As other reviewers have said it's essentially a tasting style menu but, unlike others I've sampled, this one does actually feel like a proper meal. Each dish has a signature flavour around which it's created. Don't be put off a dish by the list of ingredients. If in... More

Description
Smak på Restaurangen is located in Stockholm city centre, just a stone's throw from Hötorget. The concept is all about flavours, where you are given three choices - three, five or seven small dishes in which the influential flavor gives its name to the dish. You simply make your order by circling your choice on the menu. The same goes for wines and other beverages, which are also available in smaller tasting glasses, all to give you the possibility to try as many flavours as you wish. Smak på Restaurangen is part of the famous Group F12.
