Not only the service was so long that we finally decided to leave before getting our dishes (probably too complicated, we ordered pizzas...), but the staff was not friendly and not helpful. Probably my worst experience since years.

I have been in over 40 countries and this was the worst service I have ever experinenced. We paid and left without eating the food. Once again don't go there!

We were walking around trying to find a place to sit and drink and talk. We ended up in the sun and got a table quickly, our waitress name was Chiara and there was another guy called Franco there. We finished their wine and ended up eating a lovely pizza. This place could be thought of as a tourist trap,... More

Had a late dinner on a Saturday night when most other places were already closing down or so hot and stuffy inside that you could barely breath. Service was very slow initially, but very friendly waiter. The pasta was worth the wait, absolutely delicious. Would definitely eat there again.

The food was nice, and quickly served (only 10-15 minutes after ordening). Howewever, when paying the bill, the waiter was very rude on the fact that our tip wasn't enough. Apparently the waiter wasn't sure whether or not the additional amount (on top of what we needed to pay) could be considered as 'tip' and therefore came back with the... More

This was our first stop while touring around Stockholm and we stumbled across this gem. The server welcomed us off the street and got us a great table by the window. The locals inside looked like they've come for years. The only downfall was the new training server at the end tried to run my credit card for thousands of... More

I went there with my 2 daughters, 10 and 13 years old. After we got in, we stayed for more than five minutes waiting without someone from the team coming to us. Finally one decided to address us, in Italian !!!!, and took us to a table. Ready to seat down she decided to tell us that she had made... More

We only had pizzas and tiramisu , so can only comment on them, but they were both very nice, as was the house red. The waiter forgot the garlic bread but, to be fair, they were preoccupied with a large party. The food came quickly and was very tasty.

I had been looking for a vegan-friendly Italian restaurant in Gamla Stan for two nights. Although everyone was very friendly, they didn't have much for me to eat. My husband checked Rodolfino while I was at another restaurant and after I went to meet him, he said they had pasta I could eat. I was so excited. The staff was... More

Business meal, all agreed the food was average. Pizza ok but solid base and nothing special. Lack of herbs, spices or taste in all of our dishes. Wine selection was ok. Good access but tables and chairs were not comfortable. Good location. Service was good.

Description
The square in Gamla Stan, Stockholm's old town, where Rodolfino is situated, has seen a number of changes down the years. Once upon a time, this was one of Stockholm's major meeting places. This is where Carl Christoffer Gjörwell (1731-1781) had his bookshop and it was full of coffee houses and restaurants. There was a boisterous street life and the square was the scene of many historic events. These days, life on the square is considerably quieter, which suits Rodolfino perfectly, since the restaurant aims to offer guests a relaxing experience. The kitchen prepares Italian food, with a range of pasta, meat and fish dishes, as well as a number of examples of Sweden's home cooking tradition.

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
