We picked dishes from the daily specials and they were all good but for some reason I did not get that special feeling from this restaurant. Maybe it is because of its touristy location in the old town...

Hard to know what you are getting in Gamla Stan in Stockholm: so many tourists. This was really nice. Small, homey, Gunnel is your server and the owner. The food is simple and straightforward, beautifully prepared. And inexpensive. Just a treat of an experience, very...More

Excellent value restaurant offering traditional Swedish dishes with some interesting but not excessively "clever" twists. Gamla Stan is home to some pretty cliched Swedish souvenir shops and tourist trap cafes, but this is the real deal! It's also about 100 metres from the Gamla Stan...More

Nice and personal restaurant in Gamla Stan. Had lamb and the "polkagris" dessert. The food was excellent, as was the service. Nice and quiet.

My wife and I joined Finnish, Swedish, and British friends for dinner here in mid-September. It's a small restaurant in Gamla Stan, a part of downtown Stockholm that may be the most picturesque tourist trap I've ever seen. Nevertheless, we enjoyed an excellent, reasonably priced...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
