Relocated to a giant flat pack style building while the old Saluhall next door is refurbished. This a superb, informal fish restaurant. The fish is so fresh you have to slap it. I went for a classic herring prepared three ways which was great. My...More

This is a great fish restaurant. It is located in a market, which is actually a temporary structure put up until the older market’s refurbishment is completed. The restaurant is next to the store which is known for selling very fresh fish, so naturally the...More

Sorry, yes: fish! Fresh, like if coming from the market all around. Okay for a quick meal if you are visiting the city and you find yourself hungry close by. Salmon deserves a try, starter or maincourse. Do not miss the bread&butter, typical Swedish. Pricey.

We went here on the advise of previous reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. We had the butter fried perch in a creamed mushroom sauce, it was outstanding, if it weren't bad manners I would have licked the plate. We stared with...More

We stopped at Lisa Elmqvist for a beer and some appetizers. The food was great and we enjoyed relaxing and people watching. Try the shrimp and the cheese plate. Very nice! The temporary building is really impressive when time is taken to see how it...More

We stumbled onto Lisa Elmqvist in search of the old market (its being renovated - this is in the temporary space), and are so glad we did. Extraordinary, inventive dishes prepared with just the right touches. Highly recommended.

We went here for lunch, it is in a semi temporary building whilst the original one is modernised and renovated. But the décor and furniture is still nice and we were very comfortable. Lisa Elmqvist is in the Michelin guide and it is easy to...More

I had read about this so wanted to try ...it's a little out of that way in an indoor market type vibe. It was Saturday night but pretty dead don't know why . I ordered two typical seafood dishes and would say there were good...More

We went on a Saturday lunchtime and had to queue for about half an hour to get a table. Was definitely worth the wait as the king crab legs were delicious!

While sitting at home being snowed in, we researched Stockholm restaurants. As my wife and I are both keen on fish, we soon whittled the choices on offer down to Lisa Elmqvist. Upon arrival we were greeted pleasantly and shown to our table. The restaurant...More

From market trader to purveyor to His Majesty the King. It all began in the early 1920s. Fisherman's daughter Lisa Elmqvist traded her wares at a street market by the waterfront, and customers quickly flocked to her stall. Her fish, shellfish and cookery skills were of such a high standard that she swiftly moved up to Ostermalms Saluhall - the perfect place to allow her ability to shine through. Today, 90 years later, the fourth generation of the Elmqvist family continues her work assiduously from the same stall, gaining more and more experience and ambitions. The restaurant has recommendations in Guide Michelin for the last 10 years in a row. During the renovation of the old market hall from 1888 you will find us at the temporary market hall at Ostermalstorg. We will move back summer 2018.
