Family dinner with one vegetarian. Menu was ample and the curries, dumplings, etc really nice. Vegetarian meal was reported as really nice too. Only down side was the $6 single scoop of iced ice cream and spoon of old diced mango for desert. Rest was really good - 3 entrees, 4 mains, 2 bowls of rice, 1 dessert, 2 beers... More

We were invited recently to a birthday dinner at Tibetan Wild Yak and found it a delightful and tasty food adventure. We had never eaten Tibetan food before and our only foray into Nepalese food some years back was disappointing. Tibetan Wild Yak proved to be a great experience with spicy excitingly flavoured foods and outstanding value for money. The... More

Sure, the food is inexpensive and reasonably tasty, but in the end you get what you pay for here. A large group had to sit on a long table with half having the backs up against the wall so they couldn't move. And the restaurant just couldn't cope with the numbers (although it seemed to me that service would probably... More

Once again impressed by the subtle flavours and traditional Tibetan dishes. We have a range of dietary requirements and there were dishes to suit the whole family. The lentil cake was especially delicious finish to the meal.

I've been to Wild Yak a few times (once I took my family for my Birthday). The food is really authentic and delish! The prices are quite cheap! Especially for dining in!

Spicy potatoes - just divine Mains: Coconut rice, fluffy, moist and sweet - delicious... More

We had a sellection of dishes all were very good, the momo a specialty here . It was lovely and warm with Tibetan blankets to put over your lap it needed. The meal cost was very reasonable so those on a budget shouldn't worry you can have a great meal for under $20.00

Saturday night dinner for 4. Parking in the area IMPOSSIBLE, finally found a spot over 1km away. Should have Ubered. Anyway, because of the parking we were late for a 730 booking; got there 745 only to find the place empty? We were seated and served promptly, and eventually a few larger reserved tables arrive, but it never filled up... More

I've been eating at the Wild Yak for more than 15 years now and still love it. The food is nourishing and delicious, the service is friendly and completely unpretentious. Particularly love the momo and chicken soup but everything else I've tried over has been lovingly prepared and yummy. Can only recommend!

Absolutely amazing. I took my partner here for an impromptu surprise birthday dinner with all his friends. We ordered the banquet and were already super happy at the value, quality and amount of food (we struggled to finish it all). Free corkage was an extra bonus. The decor is wonderful. AND THEN at the end of the night the staff... More
