If you want the traditional open faced Danish sandwiches, this is authentic. The service is superb and the charm and ambience is great.

Wife and I went at the suggestion of our local Host as a place to try traditional smorrebrod, everything we ordered was delicious. You order off a paper menu similar to how you order sushi in the USA. The waitress suggested 2 per person and honestly that was more than enough, maybe 3 for 2 people would have done it... More

Really charming old restaurant with awesome frikadelller (meatballs). It's worth the few blocks you'll walk away from the water - better food at a more reasonable price.

Tried this place with a group of Colleagues and the place looks and feels old, for some maybe it has charisma for me just old. The place is where the locals seems to hang out and when had the dinner there was no shortage of attention to the alcohol, the food was nothing special, just simple which means there was... More

Was again visiting this restaurent for x-mas dinner( note, reservation required in December ). Arrived as booked, and fast service from the staff with a smile and talk. Lunch was served to our table and of course always too much to eat and in a very nice atmosphere. Pure Danish atmosphere and can be recommended for tourists if you want... More

Friends, It is Christmas time and time to go to Copenhagen. As allways we had to have lunch at Petersborg Cafe. Very traditional Danish Christmas lunch. We booked for 1300 hrs and arrived 1250 - just to be on the safe side. We arrived and was seated by the window. Beers and two Linie aquavit served and the show hit... More

45 minutes for the appetizer to arrive; another 20 for the mains. This does not make for a nice dinner out no matter how good the food. Moreover, the wait staff hurried us into ordering everything as soon as possible, even though the restaurant was busy but mostly with after-work drinkers. We had a reservation, too. The strangeness stems from... More

This little authentic Danish seaman pub is the best place in Denmark to taste authentic Danish food. The food is always well prepared and the service is personal and smiling. Simply cannot flaw this place.

We wanted a old fashion Danish meal and atmosphere and the Cafe Petersborg has it. The Royal family has a table here and Hillary Clinton dined here as the First Lady. But it is not fancy, just well prepared and delicious food.

This wasn't our first visit to Cafe Petersborg and it won't be our last. If you are looking for an atmospheric afternoon lunch that's more local than touristy this is the place to be. It's down one level from the street and you can really feel the old world charm of this establishment! The food is traditional anything from Herring... More

The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
