Food and service clearly one star level. The tasting menu takes you all around the Italian taste spectre, but in a light and very refined manner. The sourcing of products and the chefs ability to reinvent compositions is Italian cooking at its very best. Plus: we had Italian sparling wines to go with all the menu: try that!

Friday night, not too busy. No choice other than full tasting menu. With cheapest wine flight equated to more than £200 per head. The wines were excellent but impossible to do justice to the price. Food average but not good enough. I would definitely recommend avoidance.

The food is okay, but for the price we paid, the dinner should not end within 2 hours upon arrival. I know americans like their food served quickly, but europeans are different. We can spend hours dining. Service was mediocre, food good. The welcoming was very warm. However price does not justify what we got. Sorry only 3 stars from... More

By far some of the best food i have haf in Denmark, but also some of the most expensive, especially if you take the wine menu, but it is worth it, probertly the best wines i have tasted!

We enjoyed their imaginative menu, but it is a lot of food. Be prepared also for a hefty bill as ofcourse is normal in a Michelin star level restaurant.

While visiting Copenhagen, my husband and I treated ourselves to a Michelin restaurant as a celebration. The service was excellent. Our server was engaging, friendly and knowledgeable in addition to being very attentive. I am vegetarian and the restaurant was able to accommodate that without a problem. We each enjoyed 9 courses paired with wine and everything we ate, except... More

After some disappointing food experiences in Norway (that's another story) we looked forward to some top nosh in Copenhagen and for our New Year's Eve lunch, booked at a highly recommended (by Scandinavian food buffs) Era Ora, northern Italian cuisine which on this occasion had a fixed menu and wines to match. It was a pleasure not to have to... More

It was a set degustation menu which, from start to finish, was expertly cooked and presented. The description on the menu were a bit over the top but that was nothing to the way the waiter described the dishes, all delivered in an outrageous Italian accent. They clearly take pride in sourcing the best Italian produce and it shows. Well... More

Having visited Era Ora several times I am a big fan of their firm strategy of using many ecological local (italian) produce carefully seleceted according to season. As expected the quality of the raw materials as well as the craftmanship in the kitchen is worthy of their Michelin Star The concept is a daily (??) tasting menu of 12 courses... More

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Christianshavn
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
