We didn't want to be disappointed but sadly we were. To start with the positive, in common with nearly all other restaurants we visited during our six days in Copenhagen, Pony was small with friendly and welcoming staff, and a great ambience. We got good advice on our wine choice and the service was good. And as I've said in... More

Hated being sat at the bar, not what I was expecting, but the food was at such a high standard that by the end of my meal I was smiling, happy and tipped heavily!

Very good cuisine in Copenhagen. We can recommend a visit and had an excellent dinner with fish and prok on the menue. Try and enjoy. Excellent service as well and you should reserve (by phone no Danish necessary) as the place has only roughly 25 places.

We visited the Pony on a normal evening and got seated next to the open kitchen. The food was composed extraordinary, the taste was very good, the service very aware and kind. Due to sitting next to the kitchen, we did smell like a chef afterwards, but were able to chat with the cooks all evening. That makes a lot... More

....we had Saturday night. This cosy and authentic place is a stallion rather than a pony. Started with crement and snacks, followed by the Pony Kick 4 course menu with wine pairings. Dehydrated beet roots, brill with Brussels sprouts, porridge with calf tongue, pork belly with stuff and an apple dessert. Biodynamic reds and whites - super pairings. Coffee and... More

Small and cosy restaurant with tiny kitchen and special food. Bread with buttermilk with a glass of red wine would quite frankly be good enough, but actually the menu is special and the team are willing to mix a la carte and the special menu. Brill and plaice, lamb and duck, cheese and a wonderful dessert of apple, verbena meringue... More

We have talked about Pony for some years now. We visited the restaurant when is was "Sorte hest". Finally we managed to get a table. Everything was OK, but especially the appetizers and the starters was very good. Service started off good, but when I questioned the knowledge of about a wine the service really went down from there. All... More

I had been wanting to try Pony for a while and finally did with a few friends on a busy saturday night. We ordered several different dishes from the a la carte menu and one of us had the set 4 course "Pony Kick" menu. Everything we had was very delicious and authentic and the service was nice and attending... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Outer Vesterbro
Home to a large shopping center and cinema complex named Fisketorvet (Fish Square), this area includes numerous shops, several restaurant as well a state of the art IMAX theatre. This shopping center is situated at the harbor front, and as Copenhagen is one of the cycling capitals of the world, also sports two of the most interesting bridges in the city: one for cyclists only called Cykelslangen (“Cycle Snake”) which weaves through the modern buildings around Fisketorvet. The other, Bryggebroen, which is both for pedestrians and cyclists, takes you across the harbor to Islands Brygge.
