Sure there are tourists but it takes quality to attract repeat Dane visits and this is what they do. Two efficient good natured wait staff worked the whole restaurant (small and dark and old and very cozy) very efficiently. They had a tour group bring their 16 guests every year and clearly we all had a good time. Selections are... More

It's a little off the beaten path, but it's worth the trip down the side roads. The hostess was really kind and the food was delicious. Plenty of good beers available. Price wasn't too terrible, either.

Popped in here on the recommendation of our walking tour guide. Our visit was at lunch time and it was rather quiet. We were a bit apprehensive as it is very old style. I should imagine that this all adds up to a great atmosphere when it is on the evening and full of people. We chose three plates- salmon,... More

A small place which at first looks a little old and dusty. The food was great with good, personal service. The home-made Herring is some of the best I've had.

Without a doubt the culinary highlight of our visit to Copenhagen. We booked this restaurant on a recommendation from the free walking tour and were not disappointed! The atmosphere was brilliant – really noisy and bustling and we were ‘lucky’ to be visiting in early December so the menu was limited in the evening to the platters which was brilliant... More

Recommended on "Free walking tour" brochure without it being an advertisement. We tried the place and was so impressed by the service, the quality of the food and the ambience we went back the next night. We each had a main course and a glass of alcohol on each evening, felt quite full at end of the meal and total... More

For about $30 per person, we got the “Copenhagen Platter” which consisted of roasted pork, liver pate, pickled herring, fish fillets, salmon for open-faced sandwiches, chicken salad, crackers with various cheeses and butters, all made in a traditionally Danish way. It was a great way to experience some new foods that we’ve never tried before and it was all really... More

Quite small restaurant in the city center. The place looks like a pub but the cuisine is all about danish traditional food. The menu offers different choices, meats and fishes, and the possibility to have a platter with a taste of everything, perfect for be introduced in the danish culture.

the employees were very unfriendly, the food very expensive, portions are small and everything is fatty. my experience can be perfectly summed up as: the chicken salad is a small glass of mayonaise with some pieces of chicken in it served on HALF a piece of toast by the grumpy waitress who doesn't even ask you is the food was...
