You can spend a lot of money eating out in Copenhagen, especially if you are English and the pound is weak, but this restaurant offers the delights of New Nordic cuisine without the need for a second mortgage. The food was innovative (all based around the island of Bornholm) and tasty. The wine and specially blended juices were good. The... More

Came here for lunch with a friend on a weekday. Ambiance is great, minimalist Nordic. Service was impeccable. Lunch selections were awesome too, seeing as it was my first time to try the smorrebrod and lo and behold, their lunch selection was all smorrebrod! I loved everything I got and was pretty full after. Great place for lunch!

Went here on a business trip with two colleagues. Reservations are best made over the phone. Two tasting menus are promoted, but a more limited a la carte choice is also available. Most of their ingredients come from one single island and are of excellent quality. I chose the juicy lamb and confit duck. If you're a chocolate lover, definitely... More

This is the second time I visited this restaurant in a year's time. The previous review can be found here : https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g189541-d1107884-r373615920-Restaurant_Koefoed-Copenhagen_Zealand.html#REVIEWS The inconveniently slow service I experienced the first time was completely absent this time. I found it therefore relevant to review it again. The food is still excellent :starter : chicken with cauliflower cream, main : lamb and... More

We had a table of 7 for lunch at this outstanding gem of a restaurant. The interior is both basic and warm at the same time. A great combination of materials and use of space. Where to start? Service: excellent, like eating at a good friend's place who has decided he will make sure you have an unforgettable meal and... More

I absolutely loved this place. You go down a flight of stairs to a ground level space. It's decorated very simply and cleanly, typical scandinavian decor. The food here was great, service great. Really excellent quality. Next time I'm back in Copenhagen, I'm definitely coming back. Highly recommended.

My husband and I were greeted at the door -- it opened as we looked for it, walking down the street -- and they took our coats and brought us to our table. We're Canadian, so I didn't think to let them know ahead of time that I don't eat fish or seafood -- we only told them when we... More

We were looking for fish in Copenhagen and were recommended to this restaurant. Overall, very good. Service, excellent. Value quite good. We were told it had a seafood menu so thought we would have a lot of choices. What that meant was it was a seafood 6-course dinner. We are not the most adventurous eaters but all of it was... More

Returned to the restaurant after about 4 years. We went for the Fish tasting menu. Which was great. A real treat of flavours and surprises. Wine pairing great. A real find was the red wine Adeneuer.

Nice setting in a basement with cozy tables. Very good service, presented with thorough knowledge of both food and wine. We went for the tasters menu (Smagsmenu), with a taste of what Bornholm has to offer. A bit disappointed when 3 fish dishes in a row had been heavily smoked. Wines were nicely matched. All in all we left thinking... More
