The best jazz bar in Athens. We visited this great bar twice and we will definitely visit it if we are in Athens again. It wasn't easy to find it but it's the place you just have to see if you love good music, unique atmosphere of 50's, great alcohol ( the best whiskey, vodka etc.) and friendly people around.... Ordered the pork chops and Gouda cheese toast. Both were very good and the serving size was above average. Prices were a bit on the expensive side but the views were spectacular! Definitely come around sunset time! And don't be frightened by the pigeons.

In a dark alley, adding to its image, lies this small, jazzy whiskey bar. The choice of whiskeys is extended, the music is good and the atmosphere unique. Friendly faces, good service round off a unique experience and a good trip to the land of malt whiskey.

If you manage to find this bar than it will offer you one of the best bar experiences in your life! No sign at the door and located in a dark alley, that you need someone to take you there for the first time. The decoration is just ideal for a bar like this, the jazz music offers a great... More

Staying in Kolonaki / Lykavittos

Neighbourhood Profile
Kolonaki / Lykavittos
By far the ritziest neighbourhood in town, Kolonaki is home to most of the chic boutiques and designer label stores. Here, the wealthy say no to austerity by dressing in their finest and spending hours in the trendy cafés around Kolonaki Square, sipping the most expensive coffee in Europe. The area also contains a couple of notable museums and cultural institutions, which add to the air of nobility. The leafy upper reaches of Kolonaki transition into Lykavittos Hill, the highest point in central Athens. Climb the paths through its wooded slopes to the tiny chapel at the top, from where you are rewarded with stunning views across the Acropolis to the sea and even the mountains of the Peloponnese on a clear day. The wooden amphitheater up here hosts regular concerts during the summer.
