One night while staying at the Grande Bretagne the GB Rooftop was booked so they made my reservation at the next door sister restaurant The Tudor Hall at the King George. It was not a disappointment! The view of the Acropolis is even closer, and the food was as good. I think they also communicated some of my likes and... More

Stayed at the Grande Bretagne Hotel. They sent me to Tudor Hall in the King George Hotel next door for dinner. We chose to eat on the outdoor patio. Very pleasant, great views. High enough above the street so that there is no street noise. I had grilled fish which was superb. Accompanied by sautéed vegetables of various types. Perfectly... More

Service is wonderful. Absolutely on point and coordinated. We have been here twice now, once for dessert and coffee and the views. The 2nd was our 10th anniversary dinner. Both were wonderful. My husband got the cod with fennel and celery and loved it. I got the pasta carbonara and it was ok. Salads delicious as was the steak tartare... More

The setting is fabulous, and diners can choose between the slightly more formal indoors versus outdoors area. Very friendly and warm service. The food (Greek) is consistently good but felt slightly over-prepared, would've opted for a couple of simpler / fresher dishes on the menu.

The view left us speechless. The food was even better. It is the best place to dine in Athens. Thank you chef for this amazing experience.

Wonderful decor and outstanding view! Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Sommelier very helpful and selected a wonderful Greek red wine for us Scorpion fish prepared in Corfu style was wonderful My steak was over cooked and tough, replacement cooked correctly but still tough, I guess Greece is more of a lamb than a beef place....but with a name like Tudor Hall,... This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Athens, and never disappointing. The food, service along with the elegance of the inside room, with a view or on the enclosed terrace facing the acropolis are not to be missed on any visit to Athens. I have eaten just about all of the dishes on the menu and I... More

Staying in Syntagma

Neighbourhood Profile
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
