A coffee bar with great terrace located in the Gazi neighborhood. The service is very friendly and pleasing to the eye... The atmosphere is relaxed and the place is well situated in front of the jardimque has the exit to the metro station (Gazi). I enjoyed the ouzo with ice.

The coffee is good but the street is too noisy. I have also tried 2 sweet dishes and wasn't impressed. Also quite expensive.

Ok, so, Del Sol Cafe. Just my place. I live in Athens and I drive everyday 20 km approx. Just to come here and relax. Everyday. I mean it. I believe it's the most visited gay cafe/bar in Gkazi area. A nice cosy place, for all ages but mostly for ages between 18-35. Friendly staff, very good service, good prices... More

Hubby and I ventured outside the tourist trap areas of Athens. We cam across this gem right next to the Keramikos metro. Bonus: They have English menus (same prices) and is a laid back place. Oh and free wifi... that's how I am writing my review.... While enjoying my espresso. Thanks Del Sol!

Del Sol was a great first drinks place when we visited The Gazi several times. The place is chilled. The music very good. Excellent people watching with largely gay clientele. Waiters helpful and attentive. We had sprits which were 6€ each. Most people drink the national drink of coffee frappe with or without ouzo.

We went to this cafe after reading great things about it at the hotel. The sweets were great (I highly reccomend the apple pie with the ice cream). They have an English menu and the service is great. The place is pretty local and in the very nice Gazi aria, right outside the Keramikos metro station.

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
