Whenever in Athens, the cafe of Radisson Blu is the place I invite friends or business partners to have a drink and chat. The space is open plan and designed with great all time classic taste in deco. Parking is available so no stress on finding a spot on the street. Love the original elegance and the authentic style!

A lunch buffet visit to the Gallo Nero Restaurant at the Athens Radisson Blu Hotel proved to be a very nice dining experience and break as part of our day long guided bus tour (cruise ship based, Holland America - Eurodam) of Athens. We made our scheduled stop at the restaurant - not knowing in advance as to what restaurant... More

The breakfast buffet was served here. The food choices were limited, but what was served was good quality and flavorful. Service was decent, a handful of servers, but working very hard. The eating area is medium sized , but packed, so it did feel too busy. Overall ok

Had dinner in this restaurant on the first night of a work trip staying at the Park Hotel. The food was OK. The menu gives you hope of a Greek experience with the starters on offer but swiftly falls into Euro dining with pasta carbonara and cheeseburgers for the main courses. so acceptable, but not exciting. The house wine was... More

We had lunch with some friends. It is not a representative Greek restaurant but still a solution for a business meal in the area . The good thing of the Gallo Nero is that due to the hotel is always busy with a pleasant atmosphere . Concerning the food , the restaurant is not going to be accredited with a... More

A friend and I were staying at the Radisson and decided to give this one a go as it is part of the hotel. We had a deal which was a three course meal for €25 not really expecting too much however we we're blown away. The meals are very large portions, we struggled to finish any of the courses.... More

The Hotels in Athens don't have a partcularly good reputation for their Restaurants. I can name only a handful of decent eateries inside Hotels. So I took a risk when I decided to host a family dinner at Gallo Nero. I was actually looking for a nice Italian Menu that wasn't based around Pizza, and decided on this place only... More

I did not really enjoy it.The pizza was good but the spaghetti was of medium quality.I had carbonara and it was too oily.My friend had penne with 4 cheese and it was good. The environment is relaxing and the service pretty good. The wine list does not include many italian wines,as it is generally said.If you stay at the hotel and you... Description
The new all day café-restaurant “Gallo Nero” on the ground floor of the PARK Hotel, opened its doors in March 2010 in a unique environment inspired by the nearby park Pedion Areos travelling you to Tuscany with its unique flavors. In the ambient environment of Gallo Nero, visitors will have the opportunity to experience genuine Italian recipes and unique wines of Tuscany at reasonable prices. The menu is inspired by Chef Gian Luca Barlucchi - well known from the Myconian restaurant Bandanna - which in cooperation with the Park Hotel has created a highly anticipated meeting point in Athens.

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
