Completely lived up to the reviews - delicious food prepared and served by a wonderful small team working relentlessly to keep everyone happy. Our waiter provided a great wine recommendation and engaged in some very enjoyable conversation and remembered us when we happened to stroll...past the following day. An evening that will live long in our memory. Make sure you reserve your table. Obrigado Tabena dos Mercadores!More

Mercadores is a very typical Portuguese restaurant. The atmosphere is great. We had the Codfish and Seabass and the Gambas as a starter, I can really recommend it. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The wine and port wine recommendations were perfect. We really...enjoyed our stay!More

We were recommended to try here by another restaurant that was fully booked and it was excellent. Great Service and traditional food was lovely. It’s tucked away down a small street with a few tables outside - really relaxing and it was busy too. Not...an extensive menu, but lots of seafood.More

We visited this restaurant beacause of great reviews. Food wasn't good, sangria was too sweet, tasted like fruit punch. Appetizers were good.

Great staff amazing food. We ordered the sea bass and he suggested the whole fish. Clams were also great. Hard to write a lot when everything was so perfect

If you are looking for an authentic Portuguese meal this is the place to come to. The restaurant is down a narrow side alley, is small, cozy and personal. We had the lamb chops and fish stew - both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere inside...the restaurant as well as the seating area outside was great and the staff were extremely friendly. Unfortunately we discovered the restaurant on our last night in Porto so we were unable to return. If we’d have found it earlier we would have definitely gone back!! The meal was extremely good value and the best meal we have had in Portugal so far (we are now in Lisbon) and nothing has compared to Taberna Mercadores!More

Loved it! My husband and I had lunch here. Service was great, fast and friendly. We had alheiras, rolhinhos de Arauquesa (type of cow) and white wine, Alvarinho and a white blend. We loved everythigg BV about this meal. The Arauquesa was delicious. Amazing deal...price/quality/service. Highly recommended. Not to be missed if you are visiting Porto.More
