If you want an informal place to have a sandwich, you should go here. Don't expect to have a fancy table service or a some good napkins. What you should expect is an awesome and tasty sandwich with a good chunk of melting cheese and meat. It's simply a MUST go.

Another example of simple, yet really delicious meals in Porto. Try to go there in the morning, as there are a lot of people in the evenings and you will have to wait in queue. Our favourite was pork sandwiches with cheese for 3.90 euros.

I've had my fair share of pork sandwiches and without a doubt, these are the best! You can order them with cheese or only pork. The owner slices the pork upon customers ordering. Absolutely A+.

This is a must-see stop for anyone visiting Porto if you like good, inexpensive food at a local joint. There always seems to be a line at Casa Guedes for beer, wine and the very popular, delicious, juicy, roasted pork on a freshly made bun sandwich. They have other great foods, too. The cheese and meats plate is very good.... More

I went there for lunch with Family. Just waited for 5 minutes to order. The owner seeing my kids gave them a sample to taste the sauce. So generous. It is one dish restaurant and it is a must once in Town. I returned to place one more item and waited in queue but once they saw me there just... More

Simplicity at its finest! A toasted bun with roasted pork and cheese. Have it with a beer and you're almost a local. Juicy flavorful pork with a slight touch of spicy heat. Pork is in the salty side for those who are not a fan of salty stuff

This is good if you like old rustic bars for an eatery and dont care much about hygiene. Prices are great, food is tastefull (piglet sandwich is the thing here), and it is full of both tourists and locals. Expect a long line and a crowded bar, but it is worth the wait. The guys behind the bar dont smile... More

I never thought a pork sandwich could be so good. Tasty, succulent and very very moreish. The place is small and full of locals, but turnover is quick, so do not walk away. We had pork sandwiches with a beer sitting at the counter, i could have carried on eating but we had things to do. If you are near... More

An excelent to eat in between locals and as a local in Porto. It has one of the most amazing sandwiches in town. All in all an excelent place to discover portuguese typical products, ham, chorizo, portuguese cheese, wine, etc.
