Please understand that saying average in Porto means high quality, what I mean is that there are cheaper places that from outside you may not consider but where you could eat very well and there are higher places. Postigo do Carvao is OK, nothing to criticise and the location is superb (in the middle of the river's most touristic part),... More

After that I have strolled around in the Ribeira area I felt, that was time for lunch and then I found this restaurant at a side street. Tasty and plenty of food. Nice atmosphere, but busy personal, a big French group was coming for lunch.

The area of course it's full of tourists so you can't really feel the Portuguese feeling. However portions were large, and I had a good Bacalhau c/ Broa.

We had a great experience there for dinner. The service, atmosphere and food were excellent. They were nice enough to give us a window seat with a view of the bridge. Reservations are important. Would go back in second.

We waited a long time for our table on the Easter holiday weekend. But the wait was worth it. We finally got a table at the window, which was nice. We shared a marisco (seafood) stew that was absolutely delicious. With it we drank vinho verde wine - a refreshing and spritzy white wine that is common in Portugal. Despite... More

We have just had our second wonderful meal in this establishment. The menu whilst not extensive is very good with great quality seafood and the best beef tenderloin we have had in our travels through Portugal and Spain. The desserts are also very good and you must try the Molotof - well worth the calories. Service is exceptional and little... More

We were lucky enough to get a table when an elderly lady was celebrating her birthday. Musicians and dancers arrived to entertain us all in a wonderful Portuguese cultural way. We had a fish stew with beans and roasted octopus between us and both were our best meals in Portugal. Friendly staff and great atmosphere: would highly recommend.

Visited the restaurant on third attempt. You must book! Which is always a good sign. The food was excellent, plentiful and well priced. The staff were great and we were entertained by live music. Well worth a visit.

The restaurant had an authentic atmosphere, with very friendly and welcoming staff. The octopus was one of the best I've ever had - really delicious!
