....and most anywhere else. Chicken, chips and a drink will set you back around €5 - you could be a pig like me and order the full dose, (whole chicken), but best to order half and have a refill if you can manage it. The chicken falls of the bone and the service is friendly and quick. We are there... More

We were given a tip to go to this restaurant by a very excited French lady and her daughter who were staying at the same apartments as us. She was jabbering away about how the food was really good and 'pas cher, pas cher' and when I heard the magic word for octopus, I knew we'd be going. Don't make... More

Sunday night and not much was open. This restaurant was a short walk from where we were staying and there was a bit of a line-up to get a table. It was worth the wait. Great value for a family of four. Roast chicken was succulent. Fries were excellent! A far cry from the dry chicken and moist fries we... More

Went here on a busy Saturday night. It's traditional portuguese food at its best. If you are use to good food served on traditional portuguese silver platters with chips and salad, this is your place. Would recommend.

Brilliant chicken restaurant in the heart of Porto. So good we went all three days we stayed in the city. Beer and house wine were superb, but the star was the chicken!

It's a nice "traditional designed" atmosphere with both locals and tourists. Place is getting crowded at 8 pm. We had chicken with fries for two. Both were okay but not more...the place is quite cheap, chicken für two =10€, glass of wine 1€.

I had a beef, chicken(spicy version), some rice and fries to go, it was simple, but it tasted pretty good. Make sure you get the spicy chicken that is not super spicy but the flavour is great. Plus the portion was more than enough for 3 people.

I cannot wait to go back. We dropped in for lunch after a long night at Primavera Porto and it was some of the best, and best value, feel good food in our whole trip. The place is huge and really busy, and very welcoming, you don't need to speak Portuguese, just smile and look hungry and they'll take care... More

You can see, and more importantly, smell the chickens turning over the charcoal from outside the restaurant. This is a family restaurant with simple but good food. Frequented by locals, we saw many families, multi-generations, sitting at the same table enjoying their meal together.

We had lunch there last Saturday. Good was good. This is not a fancy restaurant, but very clean and organized. The only issue was a fierce argument between two waiters (including the one that was helping us). It was embarrassing...
