Was very busy and popular when we were there. Had to wait for a table! But the Head waiter managed efficiently. Lots of locals, normally a good sign. I suppose in UK, it’d be defined as pub food, good nonetheless. Everyone agreed food was good....More

No words to say. Dont go. Save your money. Bad food, no good taste. Only the tea was good. And the meat was way well done.

Must eat in Porto, Francesinha is a traditional Portuguese dish and the best place to eat it is certainly Capa Negra II. The service is impeccable and the price is even better!

Came here after a long drive up from Lisbon in the rain. Our hosts certainly knew where to take us and yes, we did have the Francesinha. A bit damaging on the old arteries, but very tasty indeed. Certainly filled my up nicely!

We visited this Restaurant while staying opposite at the HF Ipanema Porto. Location - A short walk from the city centre. Food - Quick Service. Good Menu with cheap eats. Steak Very Nice.

I've been living in Lisbon for a year now and everybody told me that I had to go to Porto and eat a francesinha at Capa Preta. Well, I just did it. No regrets. It's really a must do.

Of all the Francesinha restaurants I tried, this is one of my personal top 3. It is a very tasty dish and their Francesinha sauce is very good though a bit spicy. Unfortunately is a bit far off from the historic centre but if you...More

Had dinner at Capa Negra II while on business in Porto and while I chose the restaurant in part due to proximity to my hotel, I really enjoyed trying out their specialty dishes. The restaurant is large and casual - it is a place to...More

I had lunch at Capa Negra II, the prices are average, but the service is very slow. I had the "Feijoada" and found it very insipid. Probably I had a lousy experience. Will give it a second chance...

From memory the menu was broad enough to find stuff that would be gluten free (fish, prawns, meat etc).....but I think it would be highly unlikely for the franchesina.
