This restaurant was recommended to us by our free walking tour guide. Always listen to the locals! Modern interior with an extensive menu. My wife had the Sea Bass (filleted at the table) and I had the veal chop. Both excellent. We wanted to have...More

We visited here following a recommendation from our hotel. The restaurant is very large and they fitted us in without a problem. The menu has plenty of choice and is full of traditional Portuguese food at reasonable prices. I had the salted codfish with potatoes...More

2 days in Porto. First evening at Abadia, second one at Cabaret. Considering the prices are more or less the same Abadia loses on all fronts. Average food. Inattentive service. Loud. Basic decor. If you are in Porto for a visit, don't settle for mediocrity.

A favourite for both locals & tourists. Book ahead otherwise be patient as they try to accommodate. Lots of variety to choose from with wide selection of wine. Service was pleasant and efficient. Prices were reasonable on the high side.

You should really try the lamb, or the tipical duck rice. Really nice wines, not very expensive. Sometimes it gets a little noisy but the rest of the experience compensates. Will return like.. forever!

Hey Carol. Yes, it's about 300m nearby. You can call and make a reservation just to be sure, but it's not really necessary. Enjoy your meal :)

Yes, I think you can. You just have to call them a few days before. Maybe 10 or 15, as the Pope visit is going to bring a lot of people to the country.
