We were a bit anxious about having a curry in Portugal having had a stinker in Spain. It is a small restaurant and we had the lunchtime deal which was a tasty chicken curry with a very fresh nan.I then had some delicious kulfi. We were a bit taken aback by the a la carte prices as curry is usually a cheaper... I came to this restaurant with a group of girl friends to have dinner. Although I booked a table, it had plenty of free tables. The space is cozy and in the evening the reddish hue of the walls makes it even warmer in terms of colour. For starters we chose Naan bread, seasoned cooked onions and vegetable samoosas. For... Eat there for a birthday celebration. Menu promised sophisticated spicing in the dishes bringing the best flavours from different styles of Indian cuisine. Limited menu choice with no vegetable side dishes other than cucumber raita. I had Tandoori lamb kebab, O K but nothing special, my wife had a chicken dish with rice which she enjoyed but I felt was... More

Well, all in all the food is tasty. Negative side is the price, which is way off. The cost of a meal would be fair if the portion quantity would be doubled. Got in hungry as hell, ate the meal, left, was ready to eat again. Way way too pricy.

It´s the most famous Indian restaurant in Porto, and, although the food is good, I need the best to be much better than the others... and it isn't. no one to advise on the diferent types of food you can get... you have to guess what you are choosing... for those who have a good knowledge of indian cuisine it... We love this restaurant. We've been customers for years and we are always welcomed as part of the family. Any dish from the menu is great - whether you want meat or vegetarian options, whether you want mild or spicy food - but if you don't know what to chose, you can always let the owner, Mr. Kamal, decide for... I am very particular about Indian food. Eat it regularly. Mendi has to be one of the best Indian restaurants around. It is not cheap. In fact, it is pretty pricey. But, the food is absolutely delicious. The owner, his wife and his daughter work in the restaurant. The care they take in looking after their customers, presenting excellent food,... More

An intimist restaurant "hidden" in one of the Oporto business areas. Run for over 20 years by a family from India, the food has the original indian touch and is cooked perfectly. Naan bread , specially with garlic, is great. My favorite dishes are Palak Paneer and Chicken Tandori.

Small family restaurant hidden tucked in a small alley right next to the Crowne Hotel, great ambiance, correct and warm decor. The food is really as good as you'll find in the best Indian restaurants and the menu shows the owners care and experience. Service is quick and polite and it all seems to run clockwork. Its a good bet... More

All the positive reviews for this delightful Indian restaurant were true; the owner (originally from Goa) took great pride in the menu, drinks, service and ambience - all of which were faultless. Instead of looking further, we dined here again the following night. The only problem was a surprisingly extensive menu, which made ordering quite a challenge. Tempting to order... More
