I was blown away by this gem of a place. It had a really buzzy atmosphere and seemed to be packed full of locals. My meal was sensational- for 7.5 Euros I had soup, fish (one of the nicest I've ever eaten), dessert, coffee and around half a litre of vinho verde! Everything served promptly, no upsell, a good range... More

Original, bubbly lunch place, came highly recommended and is full of live. Food is plenty and decent, menu quite affordable, many choices, excellent fish, service efficient, and the wine OK

We had a complete menu for € 12,50 each. Soup, which was nice, main, which was decent, dessert, which we skipped, so can't tell and a coffee which was okay. Simple place, run by a family I think. Food is okay. Would recommend it for people with a low budget.

One of the best meal I had in Lisbon! A very local place with no English menu (don't worry, the owner will explain the menu to you). If you want to have a experience of how locals interact, this is definitely the place to go. P/S: The chicken leg is AWESOME!

We entered by chance as we came to walk around the castle. We stayed because there were many local people and the place was crowded They have a very complete lunch menu . Portuguese soup as a starter, main course, dessert and drink. The portions are big and the price very affordable. The service is quick and kind and they... More

It is my third time in this restaurant and I always leave satisfied! They serve good Portuguese food at reasonable prices. The daily menu includes the meal, drink, coffee and desert and it is super cheap. I always recommend this restaurant to my foreign clients and all my friends who come to Lisbon.

This is a friendly restaurant with good, affordable food. Contrary to what a few people have said, there is actually plenty of English spoken. In fact, the manager speaks fluent English and Spanish (in addition to Portuguese, of course). The restaurant is also popular with locals without a doubt, but, again contrary to some of the other reviewers, there are... More

This is a locals only family restaurant with no English anywhere, but if you are looking to sample traditional Portuguese fair, this is it. For 7.5 Euro/person we got a delicious cabbage soup, salad, main dish of sardines and cuttlefish, delicious desert, house wine and bottled water. Hard to believe but true. This is not refined food, but we were... More

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
