What a lovely little treasure, this restaurant. It only has about 8 or 9 tables and one person in the kitchen and one waiting the tables. Their food is based on the Goa traditions (a former Portuguese colony) and contains a lot of delicious curries. When we were there they had no creditcard machine, so bring some cash with you.

We received a recommendation and tried this restaurant. Great taste. Straight. Very pleasant service. Very affordable. All types of spicyness available. We will certainly go there again.

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday night and only one other table was occupied for the entire time we were there. This combined with a dimly lit dining area lead to a strangely quiet, almost uncomfortable atmosphere. The service was very good as was the spicy prawn dish. The curry dish was just fair as was the mango ice... More

Great Goan food in a local neighborhood restaurant. The prawns in a spicy dark sauce were amazing. My wife had the vegetable curry which was also great. Great food at an incredibly reasonable price

The best food from the Indian area. Goa food is even more tasty, less greasy, more spicy sometimes. The Chef is awesome! They have fantastic starters for each client. The light inside is very delicate, not too many people, what makes cozy atmosphere. The service is excellent.

I went on a Monday night as soon as they opened do it was super quiet and peaceful. The waitress was very kind and gentle. The food was lovely, especially the sauce with the entrees and it was all suitably spicy which pleasantly surprised me as I thought they would make it very weak for the Portuguese. Price a bit... For those of you that do not know, Goese cuisine is very different from typical Indian cuisine. Spicy but not hot; almost no oven; masala is not everywhere. This used to be a cheap restaurant when I was a college student but over the years it became kind of a “cult” restaurant. It is much more expensive but the place... More

In Lisbon, when you think ‘Indian food’ you think Cantinho da Paz, the already historic small restaurant. It is a family owned business, lead by the ‘patriarch’ Senhor Sebastião, where Goa’s spicy flavours have great expression. Goa is a former Portuguese possession (it was so for 450 years, until 1961) in India’s west coast, some 500km south of Bombay, where... More

We were looking for a place to eat in this neighbourhood. Came across this place and liked the way it looked. We were lucky cause it was very early. Soon every table was taken. The service is nice but a little bit too distant...the food was good the house wine a good surprise. In the end we came with the... More

I only went now to the Cantinho for the first time, but for decades I have heard of it as the best and most authentic Goan cuisine out there. My mother used to go when I was a child (over 30 years ago), and always raved. As I was (and still am!) a great fan of Casa de Goa, and... More
