The wine was disgusting and when i said it to the barman he gave me exactly the same disgusting wine. We took noodles and it was not tasty at all, i could have done it better at home, my wife took shrimps and they were raw ... So : expansive and not tasty : A restaurant to avoid !

The night we arrived in Lisbon we popped into this restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately they were closing down the kitchen, but they offered to make us a salad and 2 ham and cheese sandwiches. Let me just say that they were the best ham and cheese sandwiches ever- in fact I'm still thinking about them! They were toasted with marinated... More

We started off with the Gorgonzola stuffed mushrooms. Tasty but very liquidy... Then came the main course... My chicken was tasteless and overcooked. My boyfriend had the vegetarian pasta. It was a big bowl of overcooked noodles, barely any sauce and a tiny amount of tiny diced veggies. It was our worst meal in Portugal. I didn't think it was... More

The owner was attentive and helpful. Since the temperatures where in the upper 90's, we asked for the soup of the day (carrot) to be served cold and it was. It was good. For lunch, we ordered the chicken asparagus salad thinking it was cold but it came on sautéed vegetables with warm smoked chicken and cooked asparagus. It was... More

Caprese salad and Gorgonzola stuffed mushrooms were quite tastey. I had the smoke chicken with fuselli ' the pasta was overdone and there was no sauce. My husband had the lamb, which had a very nice sauce but the lamb was well done. Overall the food was a little lacking but some simple changes could make it great (and actually... More

We had the shrimp couscous, which was tasty and interesting, and the grilled codfish, which was very well-cooked. The portions were generous and the green wine refreshing. The street was quiet and the view was great. All in all, a pleasant experience, though slightly expensive by Lisbon's standards.

I took my guests to have a lunch in Costa do Castelo because of positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Unfortunately I have to say - with a lot of experience of restaurants in Lisbon - that this restaurant is expensive place to have lunch and the quality of food is average. One of us couldn't eat the sirloin steak because the... More

This is quite a small place but perfect for lunch. The interiour is very colourful and really lifted our spirits on a rainy day. The food was light and nicely cooked: We had tasty risotto (a daily special that I would strongly recommend) and chicken with spinach and bacon. The staff was very friendly.

When leaving George's Castle we were looking for somewhere to eat and boy did we hit the jackpot. We really enjoyed our food as did most of the people. For an appetizer we had ham with fig. My fiance had tricolored pasta with pesto and chicken and I had the prawns with couscous. It was excellent. We had the apple... More

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
