I recently went there with my wife. It was a little hard to find as taxi had to stop and let us off as he could not drive us to the front door. As I found in general in Portugal, as soon as you sit...More

Following a recommendation from a friend we had booked the restaurant before leaving for Lisbon. On arrival we received a cursory greeting, barely acknowledging our booking, and were shown straight to a table in the very impressive cloisters of this former nunnery. It was cold...More

Good food in a wonderful setting. Interesting and tasty starters, the scrambled egg and mushroom was the highlight for me. My main course was the venison, which was good, albeit a bit bland. The desserts were again interesting, and very tasty. All in all, above-average...More

A restaurant like a big home with a very impressive internal yard. The food is really local and good without touristic approach.

What can I say about this dinning experience. The word "Romantic" comes to mind. The restaurant is located in an old convent with a nice center cloister where the tables are located. It's dinning al fresco . The menu is traditional Portuguese with a modern...More

The location is very beautiful. Some of the waiters are very friendly, welcoming and professional. The owner is unfriendly and impolite: at the first interruption for asking a question about the menu his reaction was so annoyed we thought questions were not tolerated. The 'feeling'...More

Terribly expensive, Travessa lost completely all the charm and quality it used to have. Once a small bistro lost in the middle of a neighborhood lost in time it is now a symbol of the new Madragoa. A gentrified, expensive, uncharacteristic place. Food used to...More

We were really looking forward to this and had booked a table way in advance. The location was amazing, a beautiful building. The staff were also very attentive and polite. The only issue is the food and the price. I don't mind paying a lot...More

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary at this restaurant and were both very impressed. The setting in a former convent is really special and it's decorated in a unique, quirky style which I loved. I recommend asking to be sat in...More

It,s a great restaurant and would be a romantic spot to propose but I think Casa da Comida is even more romantic and the food and service there are also superb!

When we were told of this restaurant it wasn't mentioned but having eaten there everybody was dressed smartly, I would suggest what people call smart casual, hope this helps

The above is quite correct and indeed if you are selecting wines as well as food then it can get expensive. However, in the restaurant's defence, it is Lisbon and comparative to certain other top range venues for food they... More
